The reason launchpad likes darkwing so much was because he was a main character in the original darkwing duck show Edit: drake mallard was also darkwing's name in the show
The plot twist was that the new actor is actually "Drake Mallard" who is the real Darkwing Dack in the original show; and the old actor became "Negaduck" who is one of the main villains in the original show.
The original voice actor of darkwing Duck played Jim Starling. His name is Jim Cummings which was intentional. The orange duck at the end is named NegaDuck he was a villain from the original show in which Jim Cummings also played. Because NegaDuck in the original show was the evil version of Darkwing Duck. In the original show Darkwing Duck and NegaDuck had a huge ego. You should watch the original Darkwing Duck. It was one of the best shows on the Disney afternoon. It has a huge following. If you do watch the original make sure to watch the pilot first it was a two part episode.
Warning to Headband Guy if you decide to watch it on Disney+: The two part pilot is listed as episodes 29 & 30 of season 1 ("Darkly Dawns the Duck" part 1 & part 2). This seems to be typical of all the Disney Afternoon series I've checked. You'll want to get the episode listing from Wikipedia or some other source and go by episode titles to watch it in the right order.
2:13 So I looked this up and apparently the top grossing movie in 1938 was Disney's Snow White. Don't know if that was intentional or not but still pretty neat
I grew up as a diehard fan of darkwing duck so this was very special for me I got most of the references you really need to do reaction videos to the original Darkwing duck if you could find the show I would like to see if you would like it because it inspired a lot of hobbies from mine they went around from 1991 to 1993
After you see "Let's Get Dangerous" you should watch the first episode of the OH Darkwing Duck show ( even if it's just on your own time!!) to see the differences!!
Similar to when you went back and watched the OG DuckTales movie you should try watching the OG Darkwing Duck it had some really good episodes (you don't have to react to it just on your own time). Watching it helped me appreciate this episode a lot more. A warning if you do it might contain spoilers for the reboot and the episodes are out of order so watch out for that. Other than that it is fun to compare and contrast the original to the reboot character and story wise.
You should do 80s/90s cartoon reactions . I suggest Dark Wing Duck, Aladdin the series , Gargoyles and Kim Possible and then like other stuff if you have time.

The security guard that sprayed Jim with the fire extinguisher is voiced by Tad Stones the creator of Darkwing Duck.
