Joel- that was the late Joan Rivers. She was a trailblazer for women; she was a stand-up comic, an author, had her own TV show in the 80s-90s, and was a commentator on fashion and celebrities- always outrageously irreverent. Also famous for being happy to talk about the hundreds of cosmetic surgeries she had over many decades. She died unexpectedly in 2014, while under anesthetic for a procedure on her throat. It was eventually decided in court that the death was as a result of medical malpractice.
Graham Norton is an outstanding host and the format of his show is light-hearted, fun, and extremely enjoyable. He actually manages to pull out many stories and experiences from his guests which no other talk show ever gets close to. I think Graham is so disarming and charming at the same time. I truly LOVE the show, and you just CAN'T NOT LAUGH, unless you're literally DEAD, lol.
She was/is a comedic legend. Graham Norton always encourages and gives freedom to his guests to express themselves openly, and they always do, which is why he is probably THE best chat show host in the world right now.
I'm so jealous of why we can't have a Graham Norton show her in the US. There' NO politics they have guests on that can drink and relax and not have scripted answers. And it's a real fun show. US talk shows are so scripted and political it's nauseating. Hell I learn more about US stars , watching them on a UK talk show than over here so what's that tell you?

Graham's show is just like looking in at a gathering of friends or people in the same business, they feel comfortalbe and at ease, they can say anything they want, which is liberating, and so much fun to watch. Oh Joan Rivers is an aging comedienne, if I may say that, who has had a lot of work done on her body, a lot, and makes no bones about it.
