The guy playing the piano is Xander, the rapper is Diggy Dex and the third one is André Hazes Jr. This song is very famous in The Netherlands. A lead song sung by Danny de Munk for a classic Dutch 1986 movie: Ciske de Rat (Ciske the rat). It's about a young boy during the 1930s crisis trying to survive his abusive mother.

The song is from a movie where Danny as a kid played the leading role. Most Dutch people know the song very well.
The 2nd song is an original and his 1st well famous song from Hazes jr.

Amstel in the name have nothing to do with the sponsor. The first edition was in amsterdam, on a cafe near the amstel, thats why it gots its name. For many years the event was sponord by a other beer company
I was there. Got an invitation from work. So went there with colleagues. It's in the same building (Ahoy in Rotterdam) which hosted last Eurovision. Good fun!

We've also got Beer-bicycles (Bierfiets), it's a kind of tandem bicycle on which a bar is mounted in the middle. The beer bike is suitable for 10 to 20 people, who take care of the drive by pedalling, while they are sitting at the bar. The beer bike is often used by tourists and at bachelor parties. 🍻✌🏼

In 2018: 190.000 tickets sold. Beer total 385.000 crates of beer. Equally to a café/pub selling for 10 years long. They used 250 beer taps for 1 evening (14 days in a row).

To give you a little bit of numbers of this concert. Each day we serve around 10.000l beer 9 days straight. Even during the evening we have hawkers in the field that serves beer to the people.

First song is from a very well known movie in the Netherlands. It was song by the kid actor ( at the time, it is an old movie 😉) who was the main lead , Danny de Munk, now most know for musicals. Every Dutch person knows this song as it is a great sing-a-long in pubs.

This song is from a family movie from the 80's. With a lot of drama inside and about a poor family after the war trying with a child being "alone in the world". This song is from that movie and has become a pub favorite and everyone knows the words as you can see. Refrain translates to : if only I had someone to love me. 2 soft arms around me. That would always protect me. I feel so damn alone. (The so g is sung by the child)

Diggy Dex has some great songs. With Eva de Rovere is the best in my opinion
When you know its original then you understand why everone gets so emotional at this song. Its like the smal kid Dennis the Menace with a beautifful voice is singin to you that he needs to be loved as he lives a lone life while he is barely 8 years old. Very powerfull and very emotional song that every 40+ knows.
