    How would I convey to a hair stylist guide technique to achieve the cut that's best for my fine, not thin hair that grows forward? So that I won't have to do much fussing with it. It grows forward so I want a forward cut without having to use products or tools of any kind.

    My hairdresser used the traveling style and I’ve got a perm. It doesn’t look right in the front on both sides. Should she use a different cutting style?

    I didn’t realize there was a name for spatial overdirection. I find it’s easier for me to complete a haircut that way rather than using a guide for specific haircuts. Interesting!

    Hi I’m a Hairdressing student. just have some questions. On the begging of the video (0:45), he said to elevate it to 90degree horizontal. But I saw his hand holding and cutting on vertical? Does anyone can explain to me? Thanks

    I loved this! I am wondering is the spatial guide the type that leaves the hair with blunt layers... I have seen pictures of long hair with many visible layers in the bottom half of the hair and were able to turn them out... so beautiful I want this look!

    • @samvillahair
      @samvillahair  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Stephanie! Andrew here... the blunt feeling would depend on the elevation and the cutting technique too. You could use the example of the spatial guide at low elevation and it will feel more solid versus the same guide at very high elevation would fall very soft.

    Stationary guide = weight buildup towards face
    Traveling guide = creat shuttle moment

    • @samvillahair
      @samvillahair  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The stationary guide will build more weight in the opposite direction of the overdirection. For example if you create a stationary guide at the face and overdirect the hair towards the face, you get a lot of weight towards the back of the head. The traveling guide builds much less weight.
