Love your channel. The wonderful fish pie made me smile. Back in 2003 ? We went back to our honeymoon hotel in Sorrento. 25yr anniversary. My husband ordered fish pie lol. When he broke the crust all the fish still had their shells on. Luckily the waiter saw his face and brought him spaghetti lol
I like Whitby , we went to Whitby and Scarborough for one of our first holiday together 52 years ago . Hehe. Been several there lots of times since . hehe. Yes the injection should help. Great vlog, lovely to see Sammy in her element in the hippy shops. That dog friendly chippy is quality and that fish pie I'll definitely try that next time we're there. I'm surprised you left it so late in life to visit Whitby. I discovered it when I was touring on my motorbike back in 2006. I did the whole coast of the U.K and I did 13,000 miles that year, just me on my bike and a tent. I still go to Whitby at least 3 times a year. You got Filey & Robin Hoods bay just down from Whitby. Happy days.

Omg JP, that vlog of Whitby was totes amazeballs, we saw parts of Whitby we’ve never seen, we usually walk up the main bit alongside the harbour end by the Dracula shop and along the pier head and then straight over the bridge to the cobbles alleys on the way up to the Abbey… I did those steps a couple of weeks after a knee Arthroscopy and amazed myself I got to the top, didn’t like coming down so much. It’s just a stunning place isn’t it? We’ve been on a boat trip out to sea too, that was lovely too and doggie friendly… andddddd you had Fish n Chips in Terry’s fish and chip restaurant too… that was something else with proper ketchup butter and Yorkshire tea… sorry I’m rambling now but I need to go Bach now and do the streets on the side you did because I never knew they existed 😂😂😂😂glad you had a fab day there and Sammy had a good shop 😊😊😊😊❤
I live in Whitby ❤ up on the west cliff it's a lovely walk into town which ever way I go 💙 just noticed you posted this video on my birthday ❤ love Humble Pie & Mash 😋 there's some lovely little cottages in the alleyways between the shops over the swing bridge 🏚️ Queen Victoria made jet popular 🖤 my grandsons' mum has a jet jewellery shop she makes it herself with her father who also has another shop 🖤 the Abbey looks gorgeous when its lit up at night ❤ during December the church at the top of the 199 steps is filled with Christmas trees from local schools and businesses 🎄🎄🎄

Been to Whitby many times and never get bored as theres so much to see. Usually end up in the pie and mash cafe, yummy. Thank you for bringing back great memories.
That food looked amazing!! How much was it out of interest? We love Whitby took the family there on many happy holidays, crabbing , the BEST fish and chips and loads of thinks to do! It does however get incredibly busy in season you cant move there lol. So glad you both enjoyed it x
Loved that..many years ago I used to work on a stable yard/stud on the moors..lived in a lovely but...basic..cottage so every now n then went to Whitby to chuck all my filthy gear in the laundrette..would've been rude not to have a pint and fish n chips while the wash was on...remember those steps too...not sure I could do it now...also hope you all got chance to see some of the countryside/wildlife and beaches of north east as you passed through..cheers 😊

Love Whitby, haven’t been there for a while but the kippers from the smoke house were a must, and the magpie cafe used to be great for cod and chips but I think it went a bit touristy pricey.
Hopefully meet u all one day both still working here thinking cutting it down to 3 days a week maybe late nxt yr we luv our breaks had 3 day up in Nottingham last week it's a nice city did Halloween at the castle
I love Whitby reminds me when we visited as a child, my mum from Middlesbrough and my Auntie lived in Scarborough so know the area very well, haven’t been for years unfortunately my Auntie has passed and my mum lives in sunny Swindon but watching this made me want to go back and maybe take my mum❤️xx

Oh JP can’t believe you haven’t been to Whitby before . It’s our local seaside along with Scarborough and have been going since we were little as a family. It’s amazing any time of the year. Just before you went up the 199 steps if you had gone up the slope to the left there is a traditional smoke shop where they smoke all the kippers etc. All the chefs have been there. Trenchers is a beautiful fish and chip shop and our go to for a sit down dinner when we are there but that fish pie sammie had looked amazing so that will be definitely one for us to try. I use a mobility scooter at the moment so can you imagine what it’s like on those cobbles hahahahaha….definitely shaken not stirred lol. So glad you enjoyed it xx

@ Stay on the main island (St Marys) - Mincarlo is a great B&B - then get the tripper boats to all the other islands. You’d love it, scenery is unbelievable and the bird life is amazing. There’s some incredible seafood places as well 👍

Over 100 steps up to the abbey but worth it isn't it the views are great wexwent in tst gift shop at top whitby is great especially for us as we don't hav hills in norfolk 😂

Really enjoyed this one JP and crew. Got as far as Whitby Abbey once but never got to the town thanks for showing us around. Obviously not a place to visit during the summer holidays if its that busy in late October. Sorry to hear Sammie is still in pain . Mind yourselves and thanks again

Omg JP, that vlog of Whitby was totes amazeballs, we saw parts of Whitby we’ve never seen, we usually walk up the main bit alongside the harbour end by the Dracula shop and along the pier head and then straight over the bridge to the cobbles alleys on the way up to the Abbey… I did those steps a couple of weeks after a knee Arthroscopy and amazed myself I got to the top, didn’t like coming down so much. It’s just a stunning place isn’t it? We’ve been on a boat trip out to sea too, that was lovely too and doggie friendly… andddddd you had Fish n Chips in Terry’s fish and chip restaurant too… that was something else with proper ketchup butter and Yorkshire tea… sorry I’m rambling now but I need to go Bach now and do the streets on the side you did because I never knew they existed 😂😂😂😂glad you had a fab day there and Sammy had a good shop 😊😊😊😊❤

I live in Whitby ❤ up on the west cliff it's a lovely walk into town which ever way I go 💙 just noticed you posted this video on my birthday ❤ love Humble Pie & Mash 😋 there's some lovely little cottages in the alleyways between the shops over the swing bridge 🏚️ Queen Victoria made jet popular 🖤 my grandsons' mum has a jet jewellery shop she makes it herself with her father who also has another shop 🖤 the Abbey looks gorgeous when its lit up at night ❤ during December the church at the top of the 199 steps is filled with Christmas trees from local schools and businesses 🎄🎄🎄

That food looked amazing!! How much was it out of interest? We love Whitby took the family there on many happy holidays, crabbing , the BEST fish and chips and loads of thinks to do! It does however get incredibly busy in season you cant move there lol. So glad you both enjoyed it x

Loved that..many years ago I used to work on a stable yard/stud on the moors..lived in a lovely but...basic..cottage so every now n then went to Whitby to chuck all my filthy gear in the laundrette..would've been rude not to have a pint and fish n chips while the wash was on...remember those steps too...not sure I could do it now...also hope you all got chance to see some of the countryside/wildlife and beaches of north east as you passed through..cheers 😊

Love Whitby, haven’t been there for a while but the kippers from the smoke house were a must, and the magpie cafe used to be great for cod and chips but I think it went a bit touristy pricey.

I love Whitby reminds me when we visited as a child, my mum from Middlesbrough and my Auntie lived in Scarborough so know the area very well, haven’t been for years unfortunately my Auntie has passed and my mum lives in sunny Swindon but watching this made me want to go back and maybe take my mum❤️xx

Oh JP can’t believe you haven’t been to Whitby before . It’s our local seaside along with Scarborough and have been going since we were little as a family. It’s amazing any time of the year. Just before you went up the 199 steps if you had gone up the slope to the left there is a traditional smoke shop where they smoke all the kippers etc. All the chefs have been there. Trenchers is a beautiful fish and chip shop and our go to for a sit down dinner when we are there but that fish pie sammie had looked amazing so that will be definitely one for us to try. I use a mobility scooter at the moment so can you imagine what it’s like on those cobbles hahahahaha….definitely shaken not stirred lol. So glad you enjoyed it xx

In the graveyard up at the abbey there is a gravestone with a skull and crossbones on it. It’s faint but it’s a pirates burial place

@ Stay on the main island (St Marys) - Mincarlo is a great B&B - then get the tripper boats to all the other islands. You’d love it, scenery is unbelievable and the bird life is amazing. There’s some incredible seafood places as well 👍
