Why Nikola Jokić is the best basketball player in the world, LeBron should retire | NBA | THE HERD

  • The Denver Nuggets took care of some late spring cleaning, sweeping the Los Angeles Lakers out of the playoffs with a 113-110 Game 4 win. Nikola Jokić finished with 30 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists. He was also named the Magic Johnson Western Conference finals MVP. Colin Cowherd reacts to the Nuggets advancing to the NBA Finals, then explains why Joker is the best player in the world. Meanwhile, LeBron James hinted at retirement in his postgame interview, saying that he's 'got a lot to think about.' He finished with 40 points despite a tough loss. However, is it time to hang up the sneakers despite aiming to play with his son? Colin discusses why this offseason is the perfect time to retire.

It's actually true, if you watch back Colin's show he was trashing and playing down Jokic hard last few years, especially when Jokic won MVPs and when he was selected for 1st team All-NBA he was trashing Jokic hard and said he only got MVPs and All-NBA team selection because of stats that don't show the full picture because Jokic is not that good and is highly overrated because of stats. He never even had him in his top 5 list of best players. He never watched him play regularly and what all he does for Nuggets since Murray is a 3rd option player in regular season and always injured

The no ego thing gets talked about a lot, but not really in the context of what it does for the team. Jokic can be the undisputed best player on the court without making his teammates feel like role players. A guy like Murray doesn't randomly go off for a 20 point 4th quarter or a 30 point first half without Jokic being humble and telling reporters Murray is the best player on the team. There's a lot to be said for being the best player in the world and having guys want to play with you - not because they're piggy backing to a chip, but because they're having fun.
