It's bullshit the fact that one country can have a class action lawsuit and get revision parts. While another country gets nothing for the same affected cars.
Agreed. If the manufacturer is a 'global' brand, and sell a particular product in multiple markets, the recall or support needs to be available in all of those same markets.
The advantage of getting your car serviced at a dealership is if something goes wrong just out of warranty they are more likely to cover it under warranty as good will.
Good will hasnt been a thing since 2011. Thats when consumer guarantees came into legislation. It amazes me when someone says goodwill almost 15 years later

I liked the last part about an R8. A car is a car. So many bits are shared e.g. a MAF sensor for a Disco 2 V8 is the same as a E39 BMW M5 from the same era. Went to a dealership with a friend who was interested in a limited edition Mitsubishi ute. They came with a 7 year warranty new, but the one he was looking at was 6 years old. Why are the cars in Jim’s workshop never changing? Oh, it’s a green screen. Starting to wonder what could be so wrong with that Magna that takes so long to fix.
Jim probably does his segments in a bunch. Since Adam is in Sydney and Jim is in Newcastle, it wouldn’t make sense the videographer travelling up to Newcastle twice a week. In saying that, there was a Holden VE Ute that was genuinely sitting in Jim’s workshop for a while and they did say the reason was Jim was waiting for parts.
Love spiders, the bigger the better, But... years back I was landscaping a property in Dural, on an old 1920s property in Sydney (know doubt sadly gone these days). I parked my work vehicle in the old shed for the day with windows down, it was summer after all. Halfway home through Galston Gorge after a good days work, out from under the dash a large male Huntsman, lands on my left thigh - bloody funny now, but back then I took my hands off the wheel as it literally ran AROUND my thigh as I tried to regain control from the surprise. It disappeared, but as I came into Hornsby, out of the gorge it reappeared on my leg... Ahh. Still love them though.
JLR keep on not addressing quality (and woeful dealership) issues, and then have made more and more items "options". Spoke to a Defender owner - too many issues, dealer sloppy and replacement cost of same spec of car has gone up $45K. He - like me (Jaguar and Land Rover owner) has walked to Lexus. Tragic.
I don't mind TG Australia - yes it will never be the OG, but it's better than the 1st round... My 6 y/o son has watched in about 100 times.... so someone loves it.

actually volvo out spends all other companies for safety research by a long shot. They constantly lobby regulators to change how safety ratings are done as they learn of new ways to do so, for instance corner glancing collisions instead of head on collisions which is incredibly more rare. They keep voicing that companies have gamified it and min maxed their cars to get 5 stars but no more, where as volvo are generally the first to add new features

3 is specifically built

35:36 I used to live by BP Ultimate until twice in as many months I received a bad batch of fuel. Never again.
Why are the cars in Jim’s workshop never changing? Oh, it’s a green screen. Starting to wonder what could be so wrong with that Magna that takes so long to fix.
I was thinking adsatly the same.
Thanks for answering my question, it was fun to see how you try saying a long Romanian name
We did out best 🙁
What’s the white 4x4 in the background in for? Been there for a while…
Can we get a Mercedes W202 review 😂 Interestingly the facelift models are quite reliable. The only issue is rust, which isn’t an issue in Australia.
Good Job Guys
Come to New Zealand, even more JDMs and a big amount of well maintained older cars.
Tragic.
This should happened years ago. Slow realisatiom fellas.
You got me worried about my new
Ssangyong Musso for the next service
Best yet
I don't mind TG Australia - yes it will never be the OG, but it's better than the 1st round... My 6 y/o son has watched in about 100 times.... so someone loves it.
Good video 👍👍👍
I thought the Nissin Navara was on the list of cars 'Not' to buy . A parts bin Renault cab that somehow earned a Mercedes badge
On American market cars we don't get, I could see you having fun with a Honda Element
I have to say if you have actually driven a Shelby 428ci GT500 you would remember it.
Remember how over rated a driver car it is? I'm with Adam and Jim on this one. So over rated and one dimensional.
Well done video.
Question: How reliable is it to tune a Australian Nissan Maxima J31/J32 or Nissan Altima l33 and are there any ways to make that CVT be able to handle a little more power?
just get a different car
Why bother?
@@Thisonegoestoeleven666 It's my childhood car, our family having one for more than 10 years and enjoying it together both daily and sometimes at a traffic light launch race. It's not at all a performance car and I agree with those who say get a different car. But the memories and emotional connection are just unbeatable IMO. So yeah it's because of the emotional connection really. But the Maxima is quite capable.👍
@Ayaan_Misbah Fair enough. I just worry about that CVT though. I can hear the revs from here!😆
@@Thisonegoestoeleven666 Yeah that CVT will be screaming. Hope to import a 6-speed manual trans from the US.😂
Damn, we don't get the is350 in the UK.. still not sure importing is really worth it.
Which dual cab ute would you buy for under $30k? New or old doesn't matter. Used for 80% school and work runs and 20% light offroad and beach runs. Oh and has to fit two toddlers in the back. thanks
Mate, seriously you don’t want a Ute for that, look at a Subaru Forrester or Outback.
Subaru Outback
Don’t get anything with CVT gearbox!
Hilux or get 3 Mahindra's
How do I find the 2nd Redriven youtube channel??
You guys need to do some reviews in the 'Gong. Should hopefully fall within budget.
actually volvo out spends all other companies for safety research by a long shot. They constantly lobby regulators to change how safety ratings are done as they learn of new ways to do so, for instance corner glancing collisions instead of head on collisions which is incredibly more rare. They keep voicing that companies have gamified it and min maxed their cars to get 5 stars but no more, where as volvo are generally the first to add new features
not that I care about new volvos btw, and am not interested in buying them because they're boring, but I'll give credit where it's due
Re Disco 4’s - only buy 2.7’s that have been serviced religiously. If you go the 3 litre 2011 onwards them only if its had 10k oil changes. Then and only then do it with your fingers crossed. Sensational vehicles when being good. Owner 335k’s & 460k’s
Or just buy a pajero or prado like the said and not have to worry about it
Or just avoid them like the bubonic plague.
@@Thisonegoestoeleven666 sage advice both, but addiction well thats the devils curse right.
@@jamesrebbechi5247 I hear you! Subies and head gaskets.
@@Thisonegoestoeleven666 😂 I get that.
