What are we saying about the Havertz rumours guys? Is he playing as a rotational option in the attack or planned as a starter? What formation/lineup could see him fit in while keeping the front 3 as it is with Jesus, Saka and Martinelli?
I think he will start of on the bench then gradually get more game time
Prob a rotation player behind jesus, but could play a important role if jesus gets injured, also could probably be a starter if he performs well, and I think they want him to not play nketiah if jesus gets injured and just want a solid back up

For the cm role, I've read and heard rumours that Emile Smith Rowe is being trained to play as a cm which I love the sound of, he's physically gifted and can move the ball well after winning possession
he's played 8 a lot, for example on loan at Huddersfield and Leipzig

Signing Havertz is a bit of a headscratcher for me too, he's obviously too good for just 'squad depth'. Maybe Arteta is envisioning a more 'offensive' midfield with both Odegaard and Havertz at the same time, and Rice holding it down as the 6 but no real 8 on his midfield? Maybe he thinks he can some how make it work to let Odegaard or Havertz play that 8 role? I can't really tell but Havertz was never a striker to begin with. He shined as a real 10 behind the striker at Leverkusen, so I guess that's the role he will want to use him as. But I figuered if Rice comes in as the new 6 then Partey will play the 8 role in that midfield. Perhaps he just wants more variation to play with both Odegaard and Havertz for those kind of games where you play teams that have 5 at the back for more offensive power, so you decide between Havert/Odegaard/Partey depending on the game and the opponent? As an Arsenal fan at this point I'm just willing to 'trust the process' and let Arteta cook lol.
Based on the last few seasons he’s not too good for squad depth a back up oder makes sense
@@jisunggoat960 I did one in 22 and kept it quite realistic by selling 1-4 of my first team players every year, and it was so fun. Was a 10 year career, 6 league titles, 4 Croky cups, 2 conference leagues, 2 Europa leagues and a champions league
That's the thing though, he's not too good to just be squad depth at a club that aspires to contend for league titles and compete in champions league but if the transfer fee is really 50-60 mil he will definitely be too expensive to just be squad depth.
City set a new standard for the Premier League so unless you have the same level of depth as City then it is near impossible to win the league.
I get that Havertz hasn't done very well since he came to Chelsea, but I think it's unfair to judge his abilities based on his time at Chelsea because he has been played out of his real position, where he played his best at Leverkusen, almost the entire time. He was mostly used as a striker or a 'false 9', or as an 'inverted' winger, but he's really a classic 10 who needs an actual 9 and some wingers infront of him to do what he does best. Plus Chelsea have had a historically bad season this year where nobody performed as well as we know some of them can. I do agree if Arteta does decide to buy him he's probably not going to just take Odegaards, or even Jesus' starting spot. But to buy a guy like Havertz solely for the bench as a back-up for Odegaard seems like a waste of money when you already have Viera and Smith Rowe... I don't think it would be wise to spend 50-60 million for him if that's the plan, so my guess is Arteta does see a role for him in the starting line up to some degree, perhaps having him play together with Odegaard if he thinks he can make it work.

I feel like Arteta will be playing Havertz in the Xhaka role. Someone that pushes up the field with deep runs as he is a smart player for that. It also takes a lot of pressure off Ø as he's realistically our only main playmaker imo. Having Havertz and Ø would allow even more creativity, especially if we sign Declan Rice had our CDM

Big arsenal "fan" from germany here. I hope that arteta knows how to play him, cause almost every other manager doesnt. He is no natural striker, but everyone thinks he is ( actually dont know where this came from and dont know why hes playing as the only striker, even in the national team🤷♂️ ). He was soo good at leverkusen when he played on the wing/in cam. Now hes getting hated by chelsea fans cause he doesnt perform good, but they dont know what his real role is. Would love to see him in a more dropped back position alongside jesus or even more near cm. He can fit in this team so well
i almost feel like he just tweaks the midfield to be havertz cam and rice and odegard cm
I reckon Odegaard will play a more deeper role than his usual CAM position, perhaps a more box-to-box role, and Kai Havertz will be the classic no.10 behind Jesus; this means that Rice can hold the fort, but he is progressively getting better and better at moving forwards. That midfield trio looks scary.

I could see arsenal running a 4-3-3 attack / odegard and havertz partnered to push and pass forward while Declin sits back and handles mid field defensively
Havertz signing was most down to having a box midfield. You can play him as an attacking midfielder in half space behind a striker so i think it makes sense. 3241 once again.

Going forward, Instead of playing the final, I think you should do a watch simulation: where you lock onto one player and then sub them off (should start a player that won’t be useful) and then choose to watch the simulation.

Havertz is a really good signing, he can play every where in the attack and he can also drop into the midfield. He is a versatile player who is going to help us with depth.
I’m wondering if Arteta is doing positionless attack. Where you’re in a zone but if a forward teammate enters the zone you were occupying, you swap to the zone they just left. It’s like a broader element of tika taka.
This is a nightmare to defend as you can’t mark anyone, it makes a defence have to stay still.

I think arsenal are going to play a 4-3-3 defending formation, with both of the CMs (Havertz and Ødegaard) playing CAM, though Arteta might play Havertz in a more CM role like he did with Xhaka.
I think arsenal should play very offensive with jesus up top followed by havertz and odegard who have free roles then saka and martinelli as wingers then the normal zincheko, gabriel, saliba and a better right back. Cani love ur vids

Maybe Odegaard will play that box to box role which Bruno Fernandes does for united , he was CAM first but now Bruno had adjusted to that CM role , so same would go for Odegaard and partey would be subbed in for Declan rice and havertz would play that no 10 role for which he is known for to give better attacking support to the front 3
Havertz could just be a good cover for several positions, someone for wherever he needs. Not all first 11 Cani there is 24/25 players in a squad and Arteta like to use a bunch

Hmm. I honestly would use Havertz as a shadow striking Cam, where Ødegaard was playing in this rebuild. Ødegaard in CM position as a playmaker, side by side with a Declan Rice as a ballwinning mid.
