@@lencac7952 The reality is, some ammo was never good to begin with, and some folks simply don’t understand that an accurate rifle won’t necessarily perform when its fed crap ammo-its a combination of good ammo, rifle, and shooter that makes for little groups!
You are so correct. That was part of the tests also. To see how different old surplus ammo. is vs. some decent handloads. Most folks are just people with guns and have very little understanding about the intricacies of the hobby. Only a few are actual gun people. I suppose we could consider those people nerds. But the nerds are in the know. If I was rich I'd go and get high dollar factory ammo. to test. Be interesting. But I'm not about to go spend $40 on a 20 rd. box of ammo. Thanks Michael.
Hi Dave; I'd have to say I'm not parcel to any brand. I think they all fly fine. So I will get what's available. And today that's not much. I think it's more a matter of the combo for a particular rifle and how the cartridge is put together. - David
Your rifle with the handloads ‘gets her done’!
Hi Michael: It sure would appear that way uh? None of the 3 M1A's I tested shot the 40 year old surplus very well. Thanks for commenting (-:

@@lencac7952 Agreed, the barrel has to like the bullet and you have to know how to put a accurate round together. Btw, Barbra was hot..
