High Tea with lencac is a channel with current events commentary, biblical outlooks, as well as rifle range tests and rifle projects of various types. Also content featuring the Mighty Mercury Marauder and projects featuring automotive content. Trying to mash all that together into a cohesive channel that is interesting and informative is the goal.

Is the title a serious question? Besides being a self avowed sexual predator and adjudicated rapist which anyone who has a wife, sisters, daughters or any respect for women at all should have a problem with. He's a convicted felon and anyone of us with the same charges would already be in prison. He talks about being targeted and picked on when in fact he gets special treatment. He can cry all he wants about the Justice Department being weaponized. But the fact is that he committed those crimes and a _grand jury of citizens_ indicted him, not Joe Biden or the government. He's got the Supreme Court in his pocket, effectively making him a king - something our forefathers expressly forbid and shed blood to free us from. His claim to be a supporter of the working class is nothing but words. He is against raising the federal minimum wage of $7.25/hr. I watched one of his rallies where he said he doesn't pay overtime. In fact one of the federal judges he appointed just overturned a policy that would have made it possible for millions of Americans eligible to earn overtime pay. He's plays to the unions for votes when he and the Republican party are notoriously anti-union. When he had a chance to help working class people with tax cuts he gave them a measly 2-3% temporary cut that expires this year while he gave the wealthy and big corporations permanent cuts in the 7-15% range. He's got a record of stiffing the contractors that built his casinos, golf resorts, hotels, office buildings and condos. He's been successfully sued by more people than you can count for fraud, like the students he ripped off at Trump University. He stole money from a charitable organization. He thinks it's okay to make fun of handicapped people. And the funny thing is he's the most thin skinned guy you will ever meet. He can dish it out but certainly can't take it. He's a big crybaby. The list of reasons not to like this vile cretin goes on and on. He's as close as it gets to the Antichrist.
Obviously you have TDS. You should seek some professional help.

There is a big difference in LC vs. commercial brass (.308), so would appreciate that you mention what brass you used when stating your load data. Ignore my post as I see that you mention Nosler cases later on in the video. Thanks.
Hiya lestr: Well given the choice between LC brass and commercial brass for and M1A I would much prefer LC brass. My understanding between LC brass and LC Match brass is the match brass was never intended to have the primer crimped into place. Other than that the 2 types are exactly the same. However, in all honesty I can't really say why. I suppose the critical element would be what the volume is of each type. And because I'm OCD had had to go and check volumes of LC and commercial brass. Not enough difference to make any type of discernable difference. And I guess longevity might be a consideration. But because of the way I tumble, clean and prep all my cases can't really say as any type of brass fails faster than another. I guess I prefer LC cases simply because that is the brass that would have been used in the M14.
LC brass is thicker walled and heavier than most commercial brass, and have a reduced capacity. General rule is to reduce powder charges 2 grains when using LC brass. There are a few commercial brass that has internal volume similar to LC, IMI brass comes too mind. Norma brass may be similar, but it’s not the case for most commercial brass such as Remington, Federal, etc. Winchester has the thinnest walls and has the largest capacity. This is only true for .308 / 7.62 brass.
Hey lestr: I've always thought that also. however, by the measurements I've made, as I said I didn't see enough difference to make a difference. Wall thickness at least at the neck for LC and pretty much anything else I checked is usually .012" to .013" plus or minus .0005". So I don't really consider that when reloading. What I am more interested in is how much run-out the different cases have. And admittedly I think LC brass is perhaps the best of the lot.
@@lencac7952 If you cut the brass lengthwise you"ll see that the LC brass is much thicker towards the base of the case, and the internal volume of the LC brass is less than commercial cases, hense the recomendation to reduce powder charge by typ. 2 grains. Other than Federal Gold Match brass, I usually load with LC brass for my M1A. I enjoy your videos especiall load development, asI'm an avid reloader. Good shooting.
Hi lest: Ok, you've laid down the gauntlet. Now I'm going to have to do a video on comparing the internal volume of 308 LC cases vs commercial cases. As a percentage how much difference would you guess?
Damn thats a moon scope😅
Nice work
Thanks Huckleberry: Much appreciated (-:
Coming to the party late. Been loading the 7.5x55 for years and having problems loading this cartridge for years. What I’ve learned is you can’t cut corners loading a straight pull rifle. This has to be some of the most informative content on TH-cam on reloading. The shoulder of the case has to be perfectly sized and if the expander ball stick’s slightly it will screw up the head space. This guy is an expert reloader and his group size proof it. Thank you
Hi Ralph: Wow! I am humbled by your comments. Very much appreciated.
Everything you sad in your video is accurate, BUT unless you are not a worthless handout leech on society, most of democraps give me voters will never understand how Kamala's unrealized capital gains tax is all bad ! You can't fix stupid
A buddy of mine had an m1a that couldnt get any better grouping than roughly 3 inches, and so he decided to begin teari g it down piece by piece to see if there were any noticable machining anomalies,, turns out there was a gap between the end of the barrel and the brake when fullly seated.. He cleaned all that up so that it was flush as it should be, and the groups dropped to roughly 3/4 all day long..
I love my Zulus, I've put it on a few of my rifles and the ballistic table with laser range finder is very impressive! Have it on my 308 for hunting season this fall, can't wait, had my son hitting steel at 400 meters, hold over was bang on!
Hi MrDausen: It is a pretty nifty bit of kit. I've only had it so far on this AR in the video but it does seem to work pretty much as advertised. I recently got a picatinny for my Anschutz 22LR and I mounted the Zulus on it. So it should be interesting to try it on that. Ok brother thanks for watching and commenting.
That's a better way than experimenting with epoxy glass bed. there are points to pressure that you need for a tighter fit, as you know, people used to use card stock on the DCM M-1 rifles, stuff that was thin like the dividers of a case of beer, they would go to the very rear of the receiver and cut out a "U" shape in the cardboard to place under the rear of the receiver there and glue it in place, then they would cut out thin strips and glue them to the floorplate (With model airplane glue) where it has contact with the stock, also at the rear of the trigger housing right behind the trigger and glue that in place there, this tightens up the "Pinch" points of the contact with the stock and provides solidness to the overall fit to the rifle, Just doing that tightened groups considerably down range as long as you had a good gaging chamber and barrel. So, great build dude. Peace out Man - Dave
Hi Dave: Don't know if you've seen this one either but here's the link. I think you might find this interesting. th-cam.com/video/gtyhRE3wnVw/w-d-xo.html
Hey dude, just got around to watching this video, for weeks now YT hasn't been notifying me of newly added video content, only a few here and there. Idk what is going on. anyway, I will have to go back a look at the build, I can't remember if you used Springfield parts, or Military M-14 parts? Nothing wrong with Springfield, they are good, however, (In my experience) the military issue parts are made to a harder specifications and last longer with less ware. it really depends on how much you shoot the firearm and why you have it when choosing parts. I really hate it when someone refers to their M1A as a M-14 all in the way of some sort of "It makes me Cool" to it. well, peace out Man - Dave
Hi Dave: yep YT is getting pretty F'ed up. In the last couple weeks YT started putting "sponsored" ads on virtually all the vids I watch. But I figured out a workaround. I did a live chat with them about how I'm not pleased with their ads. What I got was a bunch of lip service about how it's revenue and tough shit. As for this SOCOM it is totally as built by Springfield except for the Vietnam era M14 stock that I replaced the crappy composite factory stock and the red dot and mount. So I'm sure it has a Springfield receiver and perhaps other parts too. But as much as it will get used it will last longer than me. If you haven't seen the vid on installing the stock and how I did that here's the link th-cam.com/video/CeaNTgeZ_gY/w-d-xo.html Peace out brother. Take care David

You know I haven't given the Anschutz any love in quite a while. Perhaps it's time to revisit that. Thanks for the comment dark.
Hahaha.. Money, What is it good for if you don't spend it? It's nice have new stuff to figure out, I guess that is what mostly hand crafting your Ammunition is all about. (For me) Hornady has almost always have been performers in my rifles, Sierra are good bullets, however you pay extra for them and (For Me) they shoot on par with the Hornady's. I like the Garmin, looks sensible, compact and not a lot to ask setting up. Well, Peace dude- Dave
Hi Dave: Yeah I know, it's just money until you don't have any. So I had to crack open my piggybank to get the Garmin. At this point my options for picking projectiles is based on what's available, which isn't much. I think in reality all the major brands of bullets probably fly fine. Although when I got the Garmin I also got 100 rds. of what Midway called "blemished" bullets. They claim it's only a cosmetic type thing. And they definitely are not as shiny as the regular stuff. So well see how they fly.
Yes I have the same 300M CISM as yours. I was wondering if you had to smith the mounts, or did you find "off the shelf"
www.midwayusa.com/s?searchTerm=steyr%20mount The mount is 2 piece. It's available but it's Weaver style not picatinny. So mine I had to open the slots to fit the Arken rings. It works. I did start to look into a picatinny rail for our actions. Something I think I'm just now catching on to is this. Our actions are Steyr Mannlicher. So the top receiver has not been flattened-out like the new Steyr rifles. Our receivers are completely round. However, I'd be willing to bet the screw spacing is still the same. Here's a link you'll find interesting. It gives measurements. www.talleymanufacturing.com/product/picatinny-rail-for-steyr-pro-hunter/ Measure yours. I think we have what would be considered long actions.
Len, i know i had asked about rings assuming they were integral. It appears you have receiver mounts under the rings. Were those custom, or off the shelf?
Look at Brownell's or Midway for mounts. Do you have a Steyr of some kind?
Len, thanks for all the responses to date. Can I ask if you got your rings from Arken as well? Would you have part #s and makers by chance?
www.arkenopticsusa.com/halo-scope-rings/
Nice vid. Couple questions: that top block above the stripper clip slot-its hardened steel? What did you drill and tap the setscrew holes with? Instead of those slotted thumbscrews, could you use two machine bolts instead?
Yes, it is a hardened piece. I had to get expensive drill and tap. I think the drill was a carbide drill. And just taking my time. I suppose you could use a couple of machine fasteners for the mount but I think the thumb screws have a shoulder cut into them. You'll want to be extra careful to not strip the threads in the receiver by over tightening. It appears that the new stripper clip insert from Springfield for the mount is a much better fit than the old one that I had to drill and tap to get it to stay tight in the dovetail. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@lencac7952yep splitpoint solid carbide is the only one that will do the job.
Len thx for the vids. Love to see the Steyr shooting well. Appreciate the reloading tips as well. Any tips on glass and rings for the Steyr would be appreciated. Best, Reddog62

I couldn’t take a chance with that coming back that close. Awesome rifle. I’ve been playing with an old 722 which I scoped, and put into an old Bishop Superior stock. Was thinking of going with an M-40 contour barrel, but really don’t want to change my Grandad’s rifle that much. Looked at Georgie Precisions, M-40A, but boy are they pricey. Could look for a 722 action and build my own a lot cheaper. My Grandpa’s 722 squeezed three shots into one hole the other day for a .162” group over its bullet dia.
Hi michael: Thanks brother. You know any more with the level of CNC machining processes and new tech and all that. So unless for some reason you're hooked on the 722 a person can get some PLR rifles of very high quality tac drivers for not a lot of money. Just make sure you get the best bang for your buck. Like I've said "only accurate rifles are interesting".
Wow, you've got a hell of a personal armory there my friend. And those scopes are something else altogether. You must be a serious shooter. I'm a fan of Noveske myself. I just got my Noveske N4 Recon w/16" CHF bbl a couple of months ago. After putting it through its paces it's definitely my favorite semi-auto rifle that I own now. It's a tack driver as far as the AR platform goes.
Cool optic!!!! Thanks for the video
Hi Galona: I agree and you're very welcome (-:
As I said, Pretty cool dude. great for varmint use,, now for another subject, company's like the one that made the Zulus are trying to simplify an optic to appeal to military use so the can get a contract with our Government. if you noticed that open sights on the M-16A4's are barley used if at all anymore with the Super "Red dot" the mount on it today, As you and I both know Marksmanship training is a thing of the past because it's not the weapon we use to fight conflicts with and rifles are seldom used anymore, that started a change during the end of the Vietnam conflict. Our military popular "Yes" men at the top who decide on that stuff believe that if we outfit our troops with B-B guns and put out enough B-B's at the enemy ( wall of B-B's) at them, they will give up to evade any more of that and Hurray for us,, we win and it's a double barrel "F" you to them. to them, it's the ships, aircraft, tanks, laser's, satellites, cell phones, computer's, missile's, all working with each other like a video game.. and the single solder really doesn't count for much anymore. I look at the Japanese troops in WW-2, all they had was a rice bowl, maybe (If lucky) a hand grenade, a cast receiver rifle with a wielded on sheet metal non adjustable front and rear sight, maybe 20 rounds of ammo, and a hole in the stock to run a rope through to use as a sling. I feel something is missing from the shape of our military or maybe I'm a dinosaur and my time has passed. Peace out dude, Btw, good review - Dave
Boy you said a mouthful. If you're a dinosaur then what does that make me? Fossil? .... the missing link perhaps. But seriously, shit is getting seriously weird. Interesting but weird. Oh and evil. Take care Dave.

Hi Len, well they almost got DJT but, by the grace of GOD he is still with us and pushing forward . Time for another High tea and Shenanigans with Len !
Hi phone: You know at first I think it's young man, 20 years old, brain damaged with years of DJT hating rhetoric under his belt. Since he was like 10 or 11 years old. So you figure loose screw. But then when you see how the actual lay of the land is, it is impossible for law enforcement and secret service to not even have a team on that roof. It's the only other building around! Other than the building roof by the stage where the SS team snipers were located. It is absolutely impossible for that to be missed. Very suspicious. So that kid was the preconditioned loose screw needed, the sacrificial lamb so to speak, to provide plausible deniability? They obviously couldn't use a pro that would not have missed. And who is they? No legally provable connections will be made. But the connection that leads to the same end point is still there. It is the spirit of Godlessness. Really very basic, very simple. But the flesh hates the things of God. You know I want to get to the range because I have something to show y'all. But it would require certain special conditions. And it's been like 105 to 110 here for the last week and will continue. And these 70 year old bones at this point just say fuck! So I'm a fair weather shooter I guess. So let me ask you this phone. Of all the crap I put on my channel what stuff do you like the best?
thanks for the video... just installing my Sadlak mount on my Scout... taking it slow and learning all the intricasies of installing one. But oh man, you're making me cringe watching you shoot without eye protection... please drop those shades, they won't save your eyes up on your hat.
Idk, so many people think that Sierra were the best. mine, like yours preferred Hornady's 168's and 175 gr. peace- Dave
Hi Dave; I'd have to say I'm not parcel to any brand. I think they all fly fine. So I will get what's available. And today that's not much. I think it's more a matter of the combo for a particular rifle and how the cartridge is put together. - David
@@lencac7952 Agreed, the barrel has to like the bullet and you have to know how to put a accurate round together. Btw, Barbra was hot..
Your rifle with the handloads ‘gets her done’!
Hi Michael: It sure would appear that way uh? None of the 3 M1A's I tested shot the 40 year old surplus very well. Thanks for commenting (-:
@@lencac7952 The reality is, some ammo was never good to begin with, and some folks simply don’t understand that an accurate rifle won’t necessarily perform when its fed crap ammo-its a combination of good ammo, rifle, and shooter that makes for little groups!
You are so correct. That was part of the tests also. To see how different old surplus ammo. is vs. some decent handloads. Most folks are just people with guns and have very little understanding about the intricacies of the hobby. Only a few are actual gun people. I suppose we could consider those people nerds. But the nerds are in the know. If I was rich I'd go and get high dollar factory ammo. to test. Be interesting. But I'm not about to go spend $40 on a 20 rd. box of ammo. Thanks Michael.
Just bought a larger vintage scope to put on one of our A4s-like what you can do with yours, and the little 330 Weavers just don’t have enough magnification for my eyes!
Hi Michael: Yep, what the Army was thinking when they thought it a good idea to put the Alaskan and Weaver scopes on these things is a bit of a mystery. The Marines knew it was a crap set-up so they refused to field the A4's. The rest of the militaries around the world fielded much better set-ups like the Germans, Swedes, Brits. Likewise, I've had a number of vintage scopes of that era. But in reality modern scope, even not high end scopes are head and shoulders above those old scopes. Thanks for watching and commenting Michael.
You certainly 'smoked' that target with the home loads Len. Well done buddy👌
Hi burville: After watching the video I can't help but notice a couple things. One, this M1A rings the bell also like the one last week. I have learned from building these things the sound of the flash hider ringing shows me the the gas sys., the stock to action mating is all in tune. Second, I shot the handloaded ammo. with more diligence than the surplus ammo. Shot the surplus a little sloppy. In all honesty I built these for 2 friends that wanted the ArchAngel stock. And the LOP on it is a bit too long for me. So I never get comfortable. Next week we shoot my NM M1A with walnut stock. Be interesting I think.
Tomato - Toma-toe... I primarily use IMR - 4895, or Re-15, however it really is about the rifle and what the barrel likes. those Hornady 168's are some go to projectiles for the price. Funny, I used to only shoot them at the 600 yard line, I used the 150 pull-down FMJ at the 200 yard and 300 yard stages to make it easier on the old wallet. they grouped tight enough for open sights. I pulled some good scores with them. I used IMR-4064 until I noticed that ware marks on the bolt ears were pronounced and bright, 4064 works good, however, (From what I saw on my rifles) it acted a little slow for the gas action of the system. anyway. good video - Dave
Hi Dave: If I have my choice I'd prefer 4895 but I can't find any of that stuff. Haven't seen any for a couple years now. Always sold out online. So fuck it! The only reason I still have 4064 is because I found a lb. of it I had stashed and forgot about.
Hi Dave: If I had my choice I'd prefer 4895. But I can't find any. I only have the 4064 because a friend a few years ago got it for me cause it was on the shelf and forgot he had it. IMR 4895 should be renamed to Unabtainium. Oh, now that I think of it. I think I want to tighten-up the Schuster adjustable gas block by another click. See how it is kind of throwing the brass out lazily? Notice how this one rings the bell also like the first one?

Hi. Couple of questions. What was used to finish the stock? How did you take off the end cap on the hand guard to get it cerakoted? How do you disassemble the bolt handle knob for the same reason? I have a new unused stock and hand guard. I’d like to replicate yours. I think it is a beechwood. Many thanks!
Hi des: On this one I can't remember particularly but it's probably a concoction of bees wax, turpentine, white vinegar mostly. I think the original walnut k31's were finished with something as that. The beech wood stock I think were finished in a shellac based finished. End cap on handguard, I cheated, it's Krylon. Taped and sprayed. Action Knob. Polish first then carefully tape before CeraKote job. Rear sight tangent just clean it with 1200 grit on a flat stone to get the CeraKote off . Does your stock not have a serial number stamped on it??
@@lencac7952 Thanks for your detailed reply. The stock has never had its surface finished or been on a rifle. The only numbers are under the butt plate which read VII 44 which may mean made in July 1944. The other concern I have is when they bake after cerakote the rear sight solder will melt?
Wow, that is a find. Yep the date code is stamped on the butt plate surface. And nope, if the CeraKote guy knows what he is doing the bake temp 300 degrees, is far below the melting point of the solder used on the rear sight collar. So the issue you raise is not really an issue.
@@lencac7952 Ok. Great. Thanks again!
Smh unbelievable good ....
Hey Mega: thanks brother. I was pretty happy with this one. Did you notice it singing?
Good shooting with surplus ammo-stock tension and bedding are critical on the M1 Garand and M1A for good accuracy!
hi Michael: Did you notice it singing? That tells me the whole thing is tuned like it spoda be.
Looking what ya said up ........ #FJB
I got a deal on a case of projectiles way back when, Sierra BTHP Match 69gr, my RRA likes them, however the Hornady BTHP 75's out shoot them. anyway, nice gun, peace out dude - Dave
The reply thing is acting a little weird. Anyway, back in the day like when I got my Colt H-Bar the 69gr SMK was really the only option. It is a near perfect combination for a 20" AR or even a 18".
@@lencac7952 My RRA has a 20" S.S. Wilson Wilde Chamber Barrel (Not Wilson combat) though, It's all free floated and weighted with lead, same with the Buttstock, it is the N.M. of yester year when open sights were the only option, it has a White Oak N.M. trigger, It will shoot better than I can.
"It will shoot better than I can" .............Ain't that the damn truth.
