    That OT drive with Jonnu Smith was amazing! We need to get him involved more. He's a beast!

      He's been one of the best TE's in the league the last 6 weeks. He's been heavily involved. Today for some reason they didn't get him going until late, but he's had 25 catches for 300 yards and 3 tds the last 3 weeks coming into this game

      I was saying it’s like McDaniel turned his play sheet around and realized he had Jonnu plays as a joke. But McDaniel post game presser basically said Jonnu “reminded “ him he has those plays😂😂

    • @WGB3019
      @WGB3019 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The passes over the middle to Jonnu were being covered. They moved him to the slot or wide receiver and that got him free.

    This was the perfect summary game. The Dolphins are good enough to beat bad teams, inconsistent enough to give opponents a chance, talented enough on offense to make tough plays and drives, but an unbalanced and flawed team.

    It doesn't matter how bad the Jets record is, they always play us tough! We still have to play them in New York!! I'll take the W for now!! It was an exciting game at the end!

    This game kind of played out like most games will for us when the offense can score points. I never thought this would be an easy win, but it keeps us alive for at least another week.

    If Davante doesn't go out of bounds stupidly in the last minute on that 3rd down catch, this game was over and they kick a FG to end the game. Miami shouldn't have even got that last possession to hit the FG to head to OT.

    Man after watching that defensive output if thats what ya want to call it, I was really worried that coach Wev was gonna get snatched up at the end of the season for a head coaching job but after the second half of this season I don't think we have to worry about that happening however I do really look forward to seeing the players i hope he is allowed to choose in the draft and man I can only pray that Greer is no longer in charge of our draftpicks! If McDaniel is still here which I think he should have one more chance with his and coach Wev's making the decision as to whom to draft and if the team is not better then, well I reckon he's got noone else to blame but clearly Greer has not made the right player choices when it comes to the O&D lines at all so he should go and McD gets one maybe 2yrs more and then all those high dollar contracts will be up and either we have a winner or they all can go together down the road!

    • @Ballaholic17
      @Ballaholic17 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If you put Chubb and Phillips on the dline, it's a much better unit. The oline can't be fixed thru free agency. All you're gonna get is older, expensive, and washed up players. They need to invest draft capital in young lineman who can gel together while they're young. They tried doing it with Hunt, Eichenberg and Austin Jackson while bringing in Armstead and Conner in free agency, but it just hasn't panned out. That's the hard part. It's not easy to find quality olineman who fit your system without getting injured. That's why you don't see that many great olines across the league. Pass rushers are good, too. I think it starts with a commitment to being that type of team. So, I do agree that Grier shouldn't be in charge any longer.

    • @Ballaholic17
      @Ballaholic17 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You can't rely on this defense. The money is on the offensive side of the ball. The defense is too thin, old and injured. They're gonna need to score 30 to win games vs good offenses. I wouldn't necessarily call the Jets offense good, but they can cause matchup problems for defenses that lack pass rush like we do cause they have solid weapons. Our defense might play good in spots, but not consistently. I could've told you that months ago.

    What about the difference between Walker Jr. and Dotson? I don’t think Walker was ready to play but was in there until he was re-injured - he wasn’t able to track quickly. I’d like some thoughts on that, if possible.

    Escaped is a good word for winning but should’ve lost. They won’t win out because of atrocious defense which is their one constant. Maybe play calling on key third down and red zone situations could join that. But it seems opponent’s QBs have great passing games against this defense. They cannot sack a gimpy Rodgers? Not getting opponents off the field takes away scoring possessions for Tua and company. Tua’s anticipation and accuracy were on display again. If play calling is on point, they are unstoppable. But defense doesn’t do their job.

    What are we celebrating? An OT win against a team that is trying to lose is nothing to celebrate. The only thing we accomplished today is delaying the inevitable. Next week will finally put a nail into the coffin of this miserable season. Quite frankly, I couldn’t be happier about it. The last thing I want is for them to win out only to get embarrassed AGAIN in the Wild Card game.
