I mean, waiting until you're like 18 isnt the worst plan since you can build up your skill set until then and companies like JYP and SM aswel as YG value skill a lot so they wont be able to refuse you easily. on top of that you can spend time until then to work on your visuals with skincare and stuff. A ton of successful idols became trainees in their late teens or early 20s
Same I am south Asian so I think it would be harder for me to get in at an older age and my parents aren’t against me trying it out but they don’t really support me pursuing the path

Hey! I am a 13 year old boy who is Korean, but lives in America. My bone age is 14, and I hit puberty 2 years ago. Currently I am 5'3. I did multiple tests, and I will grow at most 5'8. I do get told I am good looking, but not in shape for an Idol. I love singing and I've been doing it every day since almost 2 years now. My parents don't know that I want to become an Idol, but I KNOW they will support me. I have almost good voice control (Not sure about range), but I sound nasal (Yes I am still training). I am not confident and not the best at dancing either. My plan is to graduate high school by 2030, and audition by 2031. My questions are: If I grow 5'7, do I have a chance to make it (through online audition)? If I am good at singing, but not the best at dancing, will I still make it? And my final question: Lisa from Blackpink had to wait literal MONTHS to get a response. I don't know if YG had a response time. Do you think this will happen to me if I audition? Thank you so much. You should actually, also during training you will given different group’s songs, so you will learn along.
