I’d love to see one of these videos talking about the topic of drawing/painting what you’re interested in vs drawing/painting what other people want you to/what will make you money Keep up the good work Happy!
I focus a lot on my art to get better, but the thing is, I need to focus on school too. Sadly I'm not as popular and talented as you are, but maybe I will get better and can build a little social media community, that would help me to spend more time on my art. My father always says that I shouldn't concentrate on drawing that much because of my school grades, but I definitely don't want to live without art and want to improve as much as I can!
I actually went to art school, and some of the stuff you say is so much more genuine and insightful and encouraging than what the tutors were doing. If you had a bad day drawing, which I often did, they just put it down to "that person doesn't care enough" or "that person isn't disciplined enough". What would have ACTUALLY helped, rather than being judged over every little thing, would have been to be encouraged by words like "if you are not liking the part of the art process you're doing right now, try to remember the enjoyable things about that part of the process" and a description of those good things like you said in this video.
For some reason she reminds me of Leighton Meester. :D Gorgeous painting! Also, it was nice to hear your insights on things. I never feel like I've wasted time on your videos, they are always very informative and thought-provoking. I really appreciate the time and effort you put in creating quality content for us! Thank you! 💕
Everytime I have artist block or irritated that one of my paintings don’t look how I imaged it, when I click on your video it’s like you already knew that & is pushing me to continue even though it not what I wanted or how I wanted it. Thank you! Because I actually go back & like ok let me finish it.
Hi Happy :) My name is Maria and I don’t normally comment, but I wanted to tell you that I really appreciate and enjoy your vids. Your art is stunning and magical, and I also really enjoy hearing your philosophies and tips. Your content is truly enriching and, it seems, born out of hard won trial and error. Even though I don’t know you personally, I respect and like you. Keep it up, girl! PS and we live in the same town, YAY! Maybe I’ll see ya sometime 😘
I admire you so much . You are such a wonderful person and artist. Your work is always so amazing! When i get notifications when you upload a video, i always get so excited, i love your videos and the tips you give . Thank you for existing ❤❤
Not TOTALLY irrelevant- I'm glad we live in a world where a woman half my age can teach me so much. I HATE that we live in a world where it was totally OK that my upbringing totally oppressed my creative abilities. Thanks miss chica
Love your videos, they are so calmly supportive and positive. I'm not sure how many of your pieces you have kept, but I would love to see a video of some of your favorite pieces you've done. Maybe why they are your favorite, what about them challenged you, your proudest moments, etc. Just a suggestion! Love the content regardless. Take care.
The difference between, erasing the lines and making it egale, that "dealing" with lines and impefections is that, you deal with happines and contentment while making your art, like Tanya Shatseva does in her artwoks! The reason, why I love her works, more than I could appreciate your work is the "emotion" and the "perfectness" of the hues and tones on her paintings, and it is the one that envigorates the "inner self" of an artist, not the facade! The facade will teach you to appreciate the "base techniques" and your basic intuition, but if you're "afraid" to examine your "deepest" - Self, you lost that fraction of your life! Great artists do not paint the "egality" alone, but went searching for a style, and a deeper meaning! While in your artworks, I'm missing those!
I really love your drawings. You explain everything so easily I'm learning my new things from you. Your channel is the best channel on TH-cam for learning art and clearning your misunderstanding about art. I love your art. I want to keep learning from you😊😊💜💜
How long did this painting take you to complete? Is amazing and I would love to be able to do this in acrylics because I'm no good at oil painting... Colors come out muddy for me.. Ugh.. Thanks.. Your fantastic! 💖
Aurora Paints Everything muddy colors might just be an issue with mixing the colors on the canvas itself too much. Try mixing the blending tones on your pallet before adding it to the canvas and trying to get a smooth transition
I got to this video after watching your studio tour and I noticed your board of paints on the easel are out in the open. Do oil paints not dry up? I always use acrylics and they dry up if not stored properly. If oil paints don’t dry up, I’m totally moving to oils.
Did you let anything on this dry before adding more layers ? Was wondering like how you painted the hair. Then went back in with the darker brown overtop did you let it dry first before adding the darker brown ?
Taira Nunez start with black and white first! Values are what can make a painting amazing and once youre comfortable with that you can glaze in colors over black and white paintings
Ha! You just mentioned enjoying washing your brushes in paint thinner when you’re having a rough time, soon after I typed this. So paint thinner doesn’t affect your paint I see. I’m an acrylics user, and I’m wanting to add oil into my repertoire
Canvas sheets for practice are great, canvas boards are usually pretty cheap, Blick has discounts if you order online usually, places like Joanns and Michaels always have coupons going on too
Does anyone know what those fancy oil paint brushes are called? Because i already looked at her other video where she talks about her oil painting supplies but the brushes dont look the same.
Learning Zone Languages she always puts more red/blush where more blood flow is. A lot of artists do that. Nose, cheeks, shoulders, neck, fingers are all examples
Learning Zone Languages This is meant to emphesize the features to make it look more outstanding. But for photo-realism they’re obviously too red as you said.
I’d love to see one of these videos talking about the topic of drawing/painting what you’re interested in vs drawing/painting what other people want you to/what will make you money
Keep up the good work Happy!
Great idea! :)
Ouuuuu. Good suggestion!
Can you please do a "things that motivate you to draw" video? Thank you! Love ya
Salma Aden that’s a good idea 💡👏🏽
Good idea!

I have no problem sacrificing social activities for art, I have no friends! XD
MyArtJourney cheers to us😂
icecoldbunny xx XD
MyArtJourney lol same
Friends are over rated! Get a dog. Or a cat. A ferret. Rats are awesome and they eat the same as we do (within reason)!
hahahaha! i know right!?
I find the feel of paint going on to the canvas very enjoyable.

Aww thank you for the thoughtful feedback! And she DOES look a little bit like Leighton now that you mention it haha

Loving u weronoyume and tina yu so much these days!!!
So true on what you have said
Can you do a video on where to start with oil painting!
Thank you 😘
You give the best advice!
Do you have a video on beginner's oil painting or oil painting basics?
Roshann Al-Turk She does.
Okay but can you link it?
Roshann Al-Turk th-cam.com/video/phDGPTIKb0Y/w-d-xo.html
I already watched that. I meant like how to use the thinner and mix mediums and blend.
I believe it's on her patreon only :(
I love you, you are my inspiration😍😍
How long did this painting take you to complete? Is amazing and I would love to be able to do this in acrylics because I'm no good at oil painting... Colors come out muddy for me.. Ugh.. Thanks.. Your fantastic! 💖

Lex the Artist thank you so much for the tip! 💖
Aurora Paints Everything not a problem :)
Aurora Paints Everything I saw that you like bts! I’m so impressed-how did you u get into them?

that was very inspiring 🙏🏻 thank youu
I would like to learn how to blend oil paint colors together... You got me to try out oil paints.....
Taira Nunez start with black and white first! Values are what can make a painting amazing and once youre comfortable with that you can glaze in colors over black and white paintings
Great video! I really like all your paintings
Great tips
This is amazing Happy......can you please do a video on inspiration ... keep it up!!!!!😆😆
Your tips are really helpful, even more for an amateur artist like me 😊😊💕💕
Also... the girl that you painted kinda looks like Lily Rose Depp ❤🙈
OMG literally uploaded one minute ago! I'm never this early lol
U are the best 😘😘😘😘
Happy D. Artist, what type of material do you paint on? It looks different than normal canvas. Btw your paintings are BEAUTIFUL! 💕
Cheerful Charms She paints on gessoed wood panels.
Amazing!!! It’s so detained!
I own two horses, I have two dance classes, and I am a student, with two brothers. But. Art is always first.
What do you clean your brushes with between color changes, while you’re working?
Ha! You just mentioned enjoying washing your brushes in paint thinner when you’re having a rough time, soon after I typed this. So paint thinner doesn’t affect your paint I see. I’m an acrylics user, and I’m wanting to add oil into my repertoire
Yesss! Oh wow. I'm early. You posted 1 or 2 minuts ago. xD Great job.
Can u pls do a video on how u save or get money to buy canvases because I want to start painting but all the supplies r expensive
Hailey Sandoval Start on paper or canvas panels until you have enough money to buy stretched canvases.
Ralts Gardevoir In this video she talks about it : th-cam.com/video/phDGPTIKb0Y/w-d-xo.html
first comment! love your work sooo much!!!!!
You're available on skill share to take classes from?
can you please make a tutorial on how to paint flowers? im still struggling 😫
icecoldbunny xx she has a how to draw a rose video but I think that’s all she’s got
Look at a reference and study it yourself. Best way to learn.
What is timelapse
what kind of canvas do you pant on?
Super Stardum Yarrow she uses gesso board or wood panels
i am eARLY FOR ONCE!! love you ❤❤
nice painti8ng girl
Great job. But you seem tired/less enthousiastic than before? Make sure to get enough rest and have fun. :)
in my opinion the nose and neck seem too red
Learning Zone Languages she always puts more red/blush where more blood flow is. A lot of artists do that. Nose, cheeks, shoulders, neck, fingers are all examples
Learning Zone Languages This is meant to emphesize the features to make it look more outstanding. But for photo-realism they’re obviously too red as you said.
