    I need to lie down now ! A very powerful video which made my IC squirm a little but I’m applying a bit of TLC and she’s coming round - there’s a fear that she maybe re educated but left behind and I’m trying to reassure her that we are aiming for oneness and we are in this together but the adult me is in charge - phew !

    I always believed that I was emotionally unfairly CCJ by others growing up!
    I took things to heart. Personal.
    I now realise that I was born good enough, born to cope & born with worth or value. By dropping the emotional attachment to things people I no longer remain emotionally stuck! Awesome!!!
    Thank you for your teachings!

    Wow! "How do I stop it? No, no, no--the question is Why am I doing it? " Huge shift in being helpless against these cruel thoughts/beliefs...Taking on accountability...lots of Golden thread work ahead. And I am glad. No more just accepting "the voice." Why do I believe that? Who said that to me? What makes them an expert? Is it even true? etc. Thank you David and Alex.

    🙏🏼 thank you for your work, I have been listening to your videos for about 3 weeks, is very clear to me now when the “inner child” is talking. It can be very, very sneaky but now I engage with him in dialog, this has help tremendously in reducing my red light feelings. 🙏🏼 Thank you.

    I have been so aware of this process happening internally the last few weeks since I started grad school...I feel like I waste so much time and energy convincing myself I am not capable/don't belong and will be "found out" (what many deem 'imposter syndrome'). I was not able to figure out why my default is to give up (not just in this situation, but in general) rather than try and fail (I need to let go of the "perfectionist" tendencies), but this video brought me so much clarity and makes me feel so empowered to keep working hard and be open and honest in my communication with my adviser about my needs and concerns. Thanks so much for this - could not have come at a better time!

    This video was so helpful for me! Finally it's sinking in that I am the creator of my emotions. At first I didn't see how this could be, yet listening to many videos and helping my inner child to understand, it's absolutely amazing! What six years could not accomplish in therapy, not even six weeks has! I feel as though I have started on the right path after wondering all my life which was the right path. When I have an ah-hah revelation, my inner child giggles and laughs! I've found you! She was playing hide and seek. She has been the persistent demanding child, now I am beginning to recognize when she's acting out. Love the analogy of getting back on the bicycle when I fall off in your other videos, it feels good to be pedaling and moving forward. Also a very important ability is to quiet the mind and listen for that quiet voice within. I didn't know I couldn't hear it because of all the noise from my inner child. Thank you so very much for sharing your wisdom, I am so blessed to have found both of you!

    From start to finish this video reminded my adult my inner child’s standing in my way. When I asked my inner child what she believes she said, “I have to know everything & do everything perfectly the first time”. My father patented us from this belief. My adult told my inner child this is not true. She told her she deserves patience to learn new things. She whimpered as she passed through my adult.
    I am ready to explore & take baby steps toward my intention of being a holistic health mentor.
    Thank you David & Alexandra! So grateful you are teaching “how” to parent these parts of ourselves so we can be who God intends us to be.

    This version of the "inner child" concept is an interesting mnemonic for "self-defeating scripts", "automatic thoughts", "negative self-talk", etc. Would you say, then, that we encounter challenges that trigger old negative thoughts from past traumas? In other words, are the harmful thoughts just outdated scripts that were intended to make sense of the world at a very specific time in our childhood?

    Do you think that we believe all these negative beliefs(that we learned from parents and society) because we were dependent on them as kids? So they were in fact our protective mechanisms? - in a sense - “if I accept that I’m stupid, then it can’t hurt me anymore when they say it” ?
    and if that was our parents or a teacher at an early age, we knew we needed to go back there so we just accepted it to be true so it didn’t hurt as much.
    Could it be about our other needs not being met - ‘acceptance’, ‘belonging’?

    The defiant inner child who feels s/he is right and mirrors the criticizing adult is one perspective. What about the defeated inner child whose parents gave up on him/her at an early age? If I were to say, "Mom, I'm a terrible person." She would say, "That's right. You are a terrible person." How would I address my inner child's view of apathy?

    • @lionesss06
      @lionesss06 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not the best person to reply since I'm myself learning but I think you can say ... "my parents were wounded children too... now that I'm adult and here for you, let's change this mindset and do things correctly"
      This is how I'm working on myself. I hope it helps.

    Hi david and Alex!!
    Great video!!
    I have a question,i was following everyday your teaches for maybe 2weeks
    I was very very focused on my innerworld, i grounded very good and affirmed i only control myself
    It went very well,i was so calm almost nothing outside could get me out of my center(wuwei?)
    I was almost without thoughts most time of the day,my "head" was so quiet
    But i had a week with a funeral and when i heard the news i thought oh thats not nice, sad.
    And that was it.
    I had not many thoughts about it so also no emotions/feelings
    And more situations like this,almost no emotions,more like it is what it is,acceptance
    But later i (maybe the IC hihi) start wondering, is this normal?
    In this " bad/confronting" situations to be without negative thoughts and so without emotions?
    I liked it,it was quite new to me, but i now wonder is this the wuwei balance/feeling?
    For 2weeks i stopped applying and listen your teachings hihi and got out of my center and became again more reactive etcetera
    I would love to know if this non emotional feeling is the wu wei because i started doubting that there was something wrong in this nonfeeling state?(my ic was asking this maybe?haha)❤❤❤

    • @WuWeiWisdom
      @WuWeiWisdom  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi,
      Thank you for sharing your experiences and for your kind words about the video! It sounds like you've been making profound progress in practicing Wu Wei, finding your center, and maintaining your composure even during challenging times.
      The state you described, where you felt calm and largely unaffected emotionally by external events, does indeed reflect aspects of Wu Wei-particularly the concept of staying centered and not being swayed by external circumstances. This state of acceptance and the minimal reaction can sometimes feel unusual, especially if you're used to a more emotionally reactive state. However, it's important to note that Wu Wei isn't about suppressing emotions but rather about experiencing them without letting them control you. It involves recognizing your feelings, acknowledging them, and letting them pass without attachment.
      Your observation that you felt almost non-emotional might be a sign of deep acceptance and detachment, which is a powerful state in Taoist philosophy. However, it's also valuable to check in with yourself to ensure that this isn't a form of emotional suppression. True Wu Wei involves a harmonious balance where you're aware of your emotions and manage them in a way that they do not disrupt your inner peace.
      If you ever feel uncertain, it might help to reflect on whether your reactions (or lack of them) are coming from a place of genuine peace or from avoidance. It's perfectly okay to revisit and reassess how you engage with your emotions and teachings; this is part of the journey.
      Thank you for your honesty and vulnerability in sharing this. If you’d like to discuss this further or seek more guidance, our Wu Wei Wisdom community would be a great place to connect and learn: facebook.com/groups/wuweiwisdomcommunity/.
      Kind Regards,
      David

      Thankyou so much David!!! Iam sorry my reactions on your posts are so late😊
      Yes i was wondering also at the time ,am i avoiding feeling emotions
      But i have to say that at this funeral my tears suddenly came and it was okay with me
      And i did have emotions and sensitivities and other feelings,but i could let them go very fast and move on
      I kept saying,i focus on my myself, i love and approve of my self
      When i keep repaeting in my mind,i cannot be triggered,there comes no other thought,so my mind keeps clear and calm
      It makes all the judging impossible
      Long story,but i really appreciated your long answer to my question and i gonna watch again alott of your videos,because when i stop being aware most of the day i offcourse slip back in unconciousness and out of balance
      Much love for you and alex❤❤❤@@WuWeiWisdom

    • @WuWeiWisdom
      @WuWeiWisdom  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for taking the time and trouble to watch and comment on our videos and work; we appreciate your interest and support. The inner child can certainly CCJ (criticise, compare and being judgemental) that is why it's vitally important to re-educate and re-parent your inner child. I really enjoy the content of these videos but is there any way you could please find a gentler way if communicating than shouting at the camera? If what you say is so profound and self evident why do you need to get so agitated? It’s like you’re frustrated with us all. Please consider a calmer approach. I would be grateful. Thank you again for the information. Peace.
