Thank you for sharing your experience…. I have a question….. why you didn’t use snap on to activate the actuator or for any bidirectional operation…. I am an autel user but my shop soon going to buy snap on ….. I just want to know because I was pushing them to buy a newer autel scan.
@shamessun My Pleasure! Great question, I like the snapon scanner because of the way the data PIDS are written in it, but most Bidirectional control tests do not work on sprinter vans, the Autel scanner is better on sprinters when it comes to Bidirectional tests
Hi Keith, my name is Marshall Patton. I’m working with channel auto on a 2014 Mercedes GL 350 initially got where it would crank but would not run when I started working on it. I’ll start checking the time in chain for being stretched. I replace the chain in it and it would run for about 30 seconds to 60 seconds. Once it got hot it would not run anymore. we put new electronic fuel pump in it. New timing chain new guy at the high-pressure fuel pump. Looks OK I’m getting pressure according to my Scanner. I finally took the catalytic converter off and now when it’s cold it’ll run for 2 to 3 minutes. The only cold, I’m getting is the left and right and tech circuit shorted. I’m wondering if you could give me some pornos and if it cost something and if it cost something, I’m sure Guy wouldn’t mind paying for it. Thank you would like to visit your shop one day. I’m in the Metropolitan area. I’m out of DC Washington.

@joelawoyomi9102 Hi Joel, the Autel scanner is about 4k and the wiring diagrams don't come with it, you get the wiring diagrams from mitchell prodemand!
Thanks, but one needs to locate a component first and foremost before checking and determining its wiring colors. Just following the colors of wires in wiring diagrams can be misleading as different components may share same wiring colors and tracers. Don’t you think?

@Nick-bp7jf Thank you, yes a fault in the glow plug circuit would prevent the DPF From being regenerated!!
