Does this engine need functional glow plugs to allow a dpf regeneration? I am curious as to what the dpf pressure sensors are reading too.

@Nick-bp7jf Thank you, yes a fault in the glow plug circuit would prevent the DPF From being regenerated!!

Thank you for sharing your experience…. I have a question….. why you didn’t use snap on to activate the actuator or for any bidirectional operation…. I am an autel user but my shop soon going to buy snap on ….. I just want to know because I was pushing them to buy a newer autel scan.

@shamessun My Pleasure! Great question, I like the snapon scanner because of the way the data PIDS are written in it, but most Bidirectional control tests do not work on sprinter vans, the Autel scanner is better on sprinters when it comes to Bidirectional tests

@joelawoyomi9102 Hi Joel, the Autel scanner is about 4k and the wiring diagrams don't come with it, you get the wiring diagrams from mitchell prodemand!

@@joelawoyomi9102 it doesn't pin point the exact location. You have to follow the wiring colors as to where it connects.

Thanks, but one needs to locate a component first and foremost before checking and determining its wiring colors. Just following the colors of wires in wiring diagrams can be misleading as different components may share same wiring colors and tracers. Don’t you think?
