- This is an update vid from the first video in this playlist. The is the latest evolution of what was supposed to be a simple go kart conversion from a Murray rear engine riding lawn mower. This project is now sporting a 12.5HP Briggs motor and a 5spd manual trans-axle wrapped in a custom built steel frame! As mentioned in the video, 90% of the parts are from various lawn tractor carcasses I have laying around!

Good on u... ! ... Kudos... bless you and your family !
nice work! my brother and I are working on our first go kart, making one out of an electric golf kart and an 18 horse briggs and stratton twin cylinder. also did a pulley swap on his mower to go faster. keep it up!
Thank ya Sir appreciate that! I feel bad cause I literally haven't worked on it since I published the last video. Your build sound interesting though. I've always had golf cart in the back of my mind lol!
i have a gokart that had a mower engine and tranny "had" i plan on putting it back to the way it was ( it has a predator 212 now) this summer. cool project. i will be watching the progress unfold
Hey Wesley! What's up brother! Yea I wonder how its gonna turn out.... I'm more familiar with the traditional sideshaft go karts so hopefully this kart isn't a big waste of time! I don't know we'll see.... thanks for checking it out and will certainly make videos as I go! 🤟🍻
Awesome job keep us updated on it i just started a racing mower build
What's up Bama! I appreciate that man! I'll definitely do more videos on the build! I'll go check out your race mower build! 🤟🍻
I'm thinking of doing something similar by starting at where you are at this point, but finishing it in wood. Thinking Jeep type body. Some good ideas here!
🎉sick ride bro
Nice build man.
Thank you! I appreciate that. 🤟🍻
Awesome 👌 great work
Nice work .
Thank you appreciate that! I feel bad I haven't worked on it in months lol...
I luv it dude.
Looks good man
Thank ya sir!
I want to do this but use the trans axle as a center differential and make a Independent rear suspension set up.
could you use a bevel gear for the engine?
I know I asked few months ago but everybody and everything ok….. how does it rip
I made one but I used the whole lawn mower platform with minor tweaks and removed the blade system
Everything ok.... been a year since u posted a video....this is the second last, hope all is well
What size square tubing did you use there
The main framing is 1 inch square and the axle supports are 3/4 square.... I've forgot the wall thickness though lol.
What’s your transaxle are you putting in
It's actually a 5spd Spicer
Pertty slick boss
Suspension?
Thanks man appreciate that! Nope no suspension. However, since starting this build I've acquired 2 4 wheeler frames so now I'm sitting here thinking about how I could fab it all together lol.
Do you think you could use a zero turn mower
Heck yea! You can make a Tracked/Tank vehicle out of those things! I'd like to have the rear hydros off one and go from there! Thanks for your comment! 🤘
This is a cool build. I was interested to see what speeds the rear end could take before it grenades. What happened with the update. You didn't get a 💉 did you?
Hahaha thanks man I appreciate that! And no, I did not get the 🧪💉 lol.... Dude honestly, after that video I didn't work on it much. I just lost steam and had to take a break from it for a while. I still wanna finish it as I'm curious to see how this all plays out with the rear end too. When I do come around to working on it again I'll be sure post the video....
