    • @commenter6722
      @commenter6722 2 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      @@SnickasBah normally she's effective and on point. But this guy was trying to make the case that he was there to scope things out. She was trying to get him to say he was there to consummate. The reality is that it's intention either way, so attempted harming of a minor or whatever they call it. These guys were almost all finished before they even showed up. Interesting thing is that several of the ones who immediately got lawyers and said nothing got very short confinement or none. But so many of the others came in and unambiguously provided confirmation of each element of the crime. And a lot of these guys were fully destroyed by this. They never had lives after that. It would have been kinder to execute them when you look at this their lives turned out after this. And the Eco predator got 75 years. One of the most interesting things is that at least one of the guys who got cold feet at the door and kept asking for ID wasn't prosecuted because he may have been able to say he believed she was of age and was suddenly surprised by her young appearance at the door. The reality was that they'd switched decoys after letting him see video or at least an image and he was on the ball enough too realize something wasn't making sense.

      @@turtlehead2 "Excellent, actually I do not need a public defender; I am friends with NUMEROUS excellent attorneys and a former town justice. My call will be to him, and he will be here within the hour. Feel free to seize anything you wish, that is your right so long as you are able to obtain a warrant, and frankly you may not have enough evidence without my admission to obtain that warrant. Should you have enough evidence, when my attorney gets here he will want to see all the paperwork and should there be one t not crossed or i dotted, I hope you enjoy looking at my backside as I leave here a free person."
      There's a reason you have the RIGHT to remain silent. It's the most important right you have when you are arrested. You should ALWAYS avail yourself of it.

    • @turtlehead2
      @turtlehead2 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Brian Thomas ok kid Fucker. You have your attorney on call. What about the rest of these unemployed mopes that had to bum rides or take buses to get to the young stuff? You think they can afford an attorney that can get them out of a jam like that? Doubt it.

    • @turtlehead2
      @turtlehead2 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Brian Thomas you fail to understand how these INVESTIGATIONS go. Once you began chatting and sending dick pics, they begin a case on you. They look up your isp, what you do for a living and all of that. So they have what’s called probable cause to execute a search warrant as soon as you’re arrested. They can do it nicely if you tell them where and what to look for, or they can go in loud and messy. They usually try to execute those while your attorney is trying to draw up documents to try and stop that.
      But you’re correct. You have the right to remain silent, but those actions (seizing of electronics, searching your car etc) will happen without your formal consent. Why? BECAUSE YOU SHOWED UP TO THE STING!! Your above scenario might have legs, but many of the people on the show tried the remain silent route and still got time.

That’s what pedophiles are known to do, manipulate the situation and make the person feel like what they’re doing isn’t so bad. They tried the reverse treatment on him and he was just still trying to manipulate his way out of the situation. I can very much understand her frustration.

Yes , anyone who talks to anyone that young needs an enlightenment. Unsure if uve ever been on these chats back in the 90s and 2000s and it is alot of fantasy make believe. It's not kike FB and u have to say or show who u r. Idk this is right, but yet I've seen 1s I don't think are true predators/pedos. They bait bait and bait til they get em to say illegal stuff. It's definitely wrong, but 1 imo if it's a person that's 38 that's the cop and not really a 14 y/o then was there an actual actual crime. Not standing up for pedos bc I'd gladly see them all wiped off the face of the earth, but in terms of the law , u can't arrest someone for something u think they're gonna do . Idk not the best tactic to catch them. Not to mention, ur supposed to be 18 to get on certain chats . I'm not stupid an don't believe kids can't get on there , maybe do like alcohol & cigs and require an i.d.(unsure if there are chats anymore) and the persons i.d. they use is automatically held responsible unless it's stolen and then the minor gets charged.

      You know Derek, that's not a bad defense. The decoys probably know that defense and they will ask enough questions to elicit a response from you that acknowledges that you know that they are under-age. For example: The decoy will say, "I'm 13 and what do you think of that?" You respond, "Age doesn't matter," like he did. They gotcha on the "age doesn't matter!" In court, it goes like this: In the Opening Statement, Mr. Hynes' attorney says, " My client has bad eyes and mistook the 3 for an 8." The Prosecution puts the cop on the stand and says, "Mr. Detective, you have the chat right?" "Mr. Detective, what does Mr. Hyne's respond, when the decoy states that he is 13? Mr. Hynes says, "Age doesn't matter." Mr. Detective, is this an acknowledgement that Mr. Hynes knows that the decoy is 13? Mr. Detective answers, "Yes, it does!" In closing arguments, the Prosecution says, "ladies and gentlemen of the jury, the defense claims that the defendant did not know the age, but clearly, the defendant knew the age was 13, due to his response... blah, blah, blah" I am not sure how the defense could rebut his acknowledgement of the age. It would take some tricky lawyering. If Mr. Hynes took the stand to try and explain this, it would look even worse. Prosecutor: "Mr. Hynes, do you wear glasses?" Mr. Hynes: "No, why are you asking me that?" Prosecutor: "Just let me ask the questions?" "Mr. Hynes, how old did you think the decoy was?" Mr. Hynes says, "13." Prosecutor says, "How did you come to that conclusion?" Mr. Hynes: My eyesight is bad and I mistook the 3 for an 8; Prosecutor: "Oh, then why did you respond, age doesn't matter?" Mr. Hynes: uh, uh, uh, uh because age doesn't matt.. I mean... I thought he was 18! Prosecutor: So you testified that you did not wear glasses, yet you couldn't tell the 3 was a 3?" Mr. Hynes: "Well, I should be wearing glasses... uh, uh." Prosecutor: "What did you mean by age doesn't matter?" Mr. Hynes: " I thought he was 18, man!!" Prosecutor: "By age doesn't matter, did you mean that you knew he was 13 and that it didn't matter to you that he was 13? Mr. Hynes: Shouts, "I THOUGHT HE WAS 18!!!!" Prosecutor: No further questions your honor. You can only imagine what the prosecutor will say in the closing arguments, if Mr. Hynes testified. He got 45 months. I don't think that defense would work, because of all the stuff he said during the interview and the fact that he said that age didn't matter.
