Amazing! I’ve started learning it on snare and my friend is learning it on quads. Thank you so much!
CottonJA I’d love to see a video of you guys playing it!
I love this!!! So Much! It is sort of difficult, but I think even a good high school drumline could play this in a few weeks (roughly). Keep up the awesome work my man!
My high school may try to play this
Y’all are on a different plane, no way a high school is playing this

Dude this is super groovy! Great job balancing making it challenging and engaging to play while still being enjoyable to listen to!
this bass line is sick
I just downloaded it, can’t wait to teach it to my drum line!
Finally, a good cadence with fun bass parts!
ikr, every cadence i see on yt the bass part is just a copy and paste tenor part or looks like it was written in a minute
This sound great man!
Me and my friend are learning this in quads and snare
Jheiydhin Navarro That’s awesome man! I would love to see a video of it
Broooo measure 6 is absolutely insane 😳😳🔥🔥🔥🔥
nice!
the four people who disliked it are kicked off the line.
Hertas for days
Dude this is so dope
Also what program is this and whatever u made shark bait v2 on
Jeff Fermstad MuseScore 3.2.3
Daniel Makes Cadences I guess I need to update it, cuz the musescore I have doesn’t sound that good at all lol
Daniel Makes Cadences are you using like some other sound effects? Because they sound really good
Jeff Fermstad I don’t use any other sounds. I applied reverb to VDL in Kontakt so it doesn’t sound so dry
Daniel Makes Cadences oh, yeah I was gonna say those sound way better than the normal musescore drumline sounds
Every part is just so clean. Awesome cadence, also how do you do the tie where the cymbals sizzle into a hi-hat?
It’s a sizz-suck, look it up and you can find videos to explain! Basically the first note is a sizzle where you let the two cymbals ring against each other, and the second note is a close back to hi-hat
@@scottcole8732 no I know what it is but I meant the way he notated it
Ah my bad. I saw this comment a few months back but thought it had already been answered. The way you can do this in musescore is to have two sizzle notes. The first note is where you want the sizzle to start. You can set it to however long you want it to be whether that's an eighth note or a quarter note. Then the second sizzle note is where you want it to end. The note duration of it will depend on where it is in the bar and what notes come after it. It really comes down to making it easier for the player to know where the beats are. The important bit about the second sizzle note is that it has to have the staccato marking in order for MuseScore to recognize it as a suck. That's all there really is to it if you want to replicate it with MDL.
Could you make a version with only bases?
How did you get your Virtual Drumline to sound better? The one I have has weird rolls (it could be since I'm using MuseScore 4 which is still pretty buggy) but still!
I’m wondering the exact same thing
how did you get the 4:3? musescore doesnt let me do this
Jeff Fermstad To create 4:3 in 4/4, select a dotted note value (such as a dotted eighth note) and do CTRL + 4. Then open the inspector and change it from tuplet to ratio. I’m not entirely sure if that’s right as I haven’t really used MuseScore since my last project, so feel free to ask more questions!
Daniel Makes Cadences okay I’ll try that. Thanks!
What is the version of ur Musescore?
Wag Ako I always use the latest stable version of MuseScore (at the time of writing, it’s 3.4.2)
I would love to know how you get that sound! Is there any specific sound font you use?
for this video, I used a mix of custom tuned VDL instruments and MuseScore's old MDL sfz
@@DanielMakesCadencesAny chance you could help me figure out how to do that
Just wondering how you were able to custom tune, and how you were able to blend sounds@@DanielMakesCadences
Does anyone know a way to get around the payment for musescore? Like a way to just print it?
Noah Haseloff There isn’t a way to do it
you could always take screenshots and print those
Please consider all the hard work that goes into how you even get access to the music. There's people who are writing these great pieces, people who contribute their efforts to the program, and people who make it work in the first place. They only ask for a few dollars a month for access to some of the sheet music which really isn't much. If you feel that you shouldn't have to pay that much for sheet music, then consider composing your own music.
Musescore runs ads too for free accounts
Is there anyway to still get the sheet music for this? would love to play it.
I'll update the description with a dropbox link when I get home. Thank you.
I added it
@@DanielMakesCadences ty
what happened to the musescore link
I was going to remake all my cadences but haven't had time to.
I
can't find anywhere teaching how to read the 4:3 sign there from bar 6 of the snare, does anyone know?
It's simply playing 4 notes in the space of 3. Try taking it slowly and marking time to a metronome while feeling it out. Then gradually speed it up
@@DanielMakesCadences hey Daniel, so the first number is the number of notes and second number the time to play those notes right? Man....thank you so much
try getting good
yo is it cool if i start using this cadence in my videos (crediting you in desc of course)
Marching Sans Yes of course! And yeah, credit is appreciated
Didn’t you win the emc comment contest 😂😂
@@DanielMakesCadencesHello bro, a question, do you sell the sheet music or pass it on?
@@rudyandreyvanegasgaleano6222 My sheet music is free to use in any musical context as long as it follows fair use guidelines. You may not take the audio or sheet music I provided and sell it or claim it as your own
@@DanielMakesCadences Okay, I mean just the score for the video, I just wanted the score for my band.
This is literally just slackers anthem
dude how’d you know?
