One thing I do appreciate about this scene is that while Nigel Marvin narrates most of the documentary, Karen Hayley takes over for this part. It really adds to the tension, as we don’t have Nigel’s voiceover reassuring us that he made it out of that tight pinch.
*They will attack and eat virtually anything that moves. Sharks, turtles, giant squid, even other Mosasaurs.* *With three humans and an upturned boat in the water they were spoiled for choice. So far, they were choosing the boat.*
“Perhaps mistaking the boat for a turtle, the top predator of the cretaceous had honed in on the crew. And if there’s one thing worse than swimming with a sixty-foot carnivorous reptile… It’s swimming with it’s family.”
"The ROV had seen it all. Perhaps mistaking the boat for a turtle, the toppredator of the Cretaceous has hone down on the crew" ''And if there is one thing worse than swimming with a sixty-foot carnivorous reptile, it's swimming with it's family....'' "Giant Mosasaurs often travel in packs to protect their youngs. They will tack and eat virtually anything that moves: sharks, turtles, giant squid.... even other Mosasaurs..."
This is epic. I love it how the first and last episode uses the main theme of this show. It’s a nice way to bring the whole show full circle. Please don’t take this down BBC.
This was one of the first dinodocs I watched when I was little. I got in when I lived in Switzerland, where I was born. It was titled in German 'Monsters of the Deep: A Kingdom of Ancient Times'.
fun little fact: i believe the setting of the Triassic section is set in Switzerland considering the Tanystropheus and the Cymbospondylus are from there.
Same, but on the other hand the build up they receive through the Cretaceous segment to end the documentary with the swarm of mosasaurs menacing Nigel and the others is what made the ending of the series so memorable.
@@cretaceousthehunted9669 Interesting. When abouts roughly did this happen, I was still under the impression that they were good parents. But admittedly I haven't been too up to date on my Mosasaurs in comparison to my Dinosaurs

The R.O.V had seen it all!
The mosaurus swim with his famlly
And if there is one thing worse than swimming with a fifty foot carnivorous reptile, it's swimming with it's family.

I love this track, it's like an epic version of the opening theme!
So true. It's my favorite theme.

There will never be a more chilling sentence than "The R.O.V. had seen it all."
The R.O.V. is going to Therapy
The most Intense Track in the series
This theme makes me love Mosasaurs even more than I already did... and they were my favorite animals already!

I wish the Mosasaurs' had gotten a bit more screen time, but this track is pretty nice even without that.
Yea we needed 6 episodes of this rather than just 3!
@@unreleasedscore2198 It's either make 2 seas in one episode or make it 7 episodes
Same the Mosasaurs are the best animals so they definetly deserved more screentime.
It would’ve been cool if the Mosasaurs got more screen time, but at least they had time to shine at the ending.
Same, but on the other hand the build up they receive through the Cretaceous segment to end the documentary with the swarm of mosasaurs menacing Nigel and the others is what made the ending of the series so memorable.
Entering the ecological dead zone in Subnautica be like:
"Detecting multiple Leviathan-class lifeforms in the region. Are you certain whatever you are doing is worth it?"
Mosasaurus hissing intensifies
okay this is epic
Agreed.
Sometime I gotta play this while studying for a biology exam….
Yeah! Same here! But... i have no biology anymore. But I'm gonna learn it again if i finished High School cause i want to become a paleontologist.
@@maxvt7258 Good luck on becoming a Paleontologist, because finding dinosaur (and other prehistoric creature) fossils is hard.
Absolutely badass theme. Can play it all the time.
This is my favorite theme.
Tylosaurus is in my opinion the best creature that ever exsisted.
"It's swimming with its' family"
"Giant Mosasaurs often travel in groups to protect their young"
"They will attack and eat virtually anything that moves, sharks, turtles, giant squid, even other mosasaurs."

I LOVE that Mosasaurs were actually cannibalistic!
"Even other Mosasaurs"
The power of the Cretaceous
😍😍😍😍 I love Mosasaurs
Remember they're related to snakes
Tylosaurus moment 😂
also me when I see a macrophage 🫥
When you escape North-Korea and the soldiers are in the house you are hiding...
me when karen appears:
the thumbnail picture for the episode lies!
Nigel Marvin never went in the cage with the mosasaurs!
I did always feel like that was a bit misleading of the series to do that.
Me when I'm on a boat in gta and I fall off and first thing I see are 15 sharks and the waves take the boat away
People, these are not Mosasaurus, this is not even a Jurrasic World replica! IT IS A *MOSASAUR* , NOT A MOSASAURUS!
This where, in fact, identified as Hainosaurus on the companion book. Although they reseamble more Tylosaurus
Ohhhh ok
They’re from the formation Tylosaurus comes from too so their Tylosaurus proriger.
mosasaurus has evil eyebrows
