My e91 has developed a problem where it started to not recognise key and if I tried and tried I could get it to work and get dash lights on and start and then it would do it again key don't trigger anything when put key in slot . Changed key reader slot no difference and now no matter how hard I try I can't get dash lights or anything and car is stranded . I'm trying to figure out if cas or key or something else . Please help

hello what does this CAS do..we accidentally jumped a CAS relay under passenger glove box..2008 328i ..we thought it was starter relay and after we jumped this black 4 prong relay and jumped car to start, ALL the headlights, dome lights brake lights and wipers stay on with car OFF..PLEASE HELP/any advice appreciated..car also wont shit(automatic shifter wont move0 too.

Hey my central control system doesnt lock or unlock the door. All motors make noise but nothing happens. Changed the battery in the fob it work one time and not nothing. What could be the issue.

If you get a steering wheel locks or the wipers turn on suspect the security module $600.

@ArmAniAcZ In my case, yes; I ended sending the DME, CAS and Key for programming to a Pro.

thanks for all the good videos you have here, if you can add another one in my case i have a 2010 BMW 328xi and i hooked up a scanner to make another extra key through the immobilizer function and it started to do its thing up to 4% and i disconnected the cable from the obd2 port and now the car has no power at all the key dont work nothing on the instrument cluster, no power on the navigation screen nothing the only power i get is when i turn the rear and headlights on ...

Can you do a video on how you got that bolt back in? b/c I got the bolt out but it seems impossible to get it back in. can you go in via the headlight switch ?
Just remove the air vent and work from there, a lot easier.
For those wondering how the bloody hell to get it installed in the car again, remove the side panel and headlight switch, that way you will have room to put your trouble light and get the bolt installed with a 1/4 drive 10mm swivel socket.

Watched your video, loved it. Got a question. My car no longer starts, ODB states that the CAS system is not allowing it to start/stop. What do I need to do in order to get my car working? Do I need to get another CAS Module? Do I need to get a new CAS, ECU and Key? Can I buy a CAS Module and find somewhere to get it reprogrammed? Im at a lost for trying to get my car working. Need your help, THANKS in advance.
Get either an ECU kit.
Or buy the same part number CAS module from another car. Get someone who knows how to use BMW software to pull the key programming put of your original case module. Fit new one, copy key into it, change vin in module. Carry out ECU and case alignment. Encode then your done.
30£ part and 10 mins of computer work should sort it for you.

no, ask the dealer for a refund. I los my key fob I found a guy in la on line who was german with a compute rand a key cutter in his van and programmed one for $280, included cutting the door key.

So i need some help guys maybe someone out there had the Same problem as me. So my car kept dieing over night so I replaced the battery and alternator to be on the safe side. Now my car cranks but wont turn over. Also wen I connect a obd2 scanner its saying lost communication. Hi easier to remove the coin box, unscrew the 10mm bold and un clip it.thats all right hand drive CAS on driver side ,vice versa

can someone do a work around to eliminate the cas3 its like an explosive except it only kills your car also the body computer that was killing so many cars bmw extended its warranty to 5 years or more, do we need a computer to control windows and door locks. I have the exact same issue on my 2007 e90 335i. Reset counter and now car clicks and primes then goes back to first key position. Any solutions?

Have you tried a emulator and does it get rid of ccid 186 which is cause my car not to start? Ccid 186 is elv steering control fault engine cannot be restarted

That is the security computer. Itis so secure it
wont even let the owner drive the care sometimes . Look at all owners wasting time in it or paying $600 for a replacement that will likely fail when your crossing a bridge.
And you have to put your head by the brake pedal to remove it it has an extra long screw to remove it, its the size of a sony tv remote

If you replace the CAS, you need a matching key for it. and you either also need to replace the ECU or get the new CAS synched to your existing one
