This is the story of the man who becomes the pirate king. The whole show is the story of how that happens. The tragedy of one piece is that the world is under one government. For that reason the best way to pillage from that one government is to free the nations from their appointed tyrants. Luffy is still just a pirate making chaos everywhere he goes.
Luffy ain't the chosen one to find the One Piece he's just the one chosen by the Nika fruit. It is the fact that his spirit and will for freedom embody the same will that joyboy had that he was chosen by the fruit
Luffy is not the chosen one. They already explained that in order to be like “joy boy” you had to awaken the fruit. That is only possible with training, hard work and the mastery of the devil fruit. Luffy over a thousand chapters unlocked this power. He took the fruit to its maximum potential. Something no one did in the last 800 years. If he was the chosen one of this power eating the fruit would unlock the awaken power of Nika instantly. That is not what happened. He mastered the fruit and its freedom to its maximum potential. He awakened this power on his own.

Is Luffys shift in becoming one piece Jesus that bad? 🤷🏾♂️

Good point
hope oda doesn't lean to that considering how he has made luffy hardworking and creative with his devil fruit.
Did you even read GOT? Also. Mid opinions
😅

You still have to work hard regardless if you are or aren’t the chosen one. Naruto was ‘destined’ but still had to work hard
