- Today we review the Moza R9 V2 Wheelbase + Moza C2 Steering Wheel.
Is it the best new wheel and wheelbase for the price?
**DISCLAIMER**
Moza has reached out to me and provided some helpful links with setup on the wheel and wheel base.

For ACC theres settings for minimum force and 'road feel' you can turn up, its great for DD and belt wheels where they have a higher range of force so the smaller details are lost, it'll amp them up, in general though ACC tends to amp up feedback as you load up the car.
The FFB loss in F1 btw, that's a setting in the game where it really over exagerrates loss of grip from way too much understeer, you can also turn that off!
Awesome review was going to pull the trigger on the r5 bundle. Glad I watched this before I did r9 it is. I just need a wheel and base already have pedals and a shifter. I don’t play iracing do like truck sim forza assetto corsa games like that. And I subbed
You definitely didn’t tighten the base down! Look at 3:40 you can clearly see the base moving while you try to put the wheel on!
The wheel is a CS version 2. Not C2.
its wild how close the unboxing experience is to fanatec.
Because they both come in boxes? Seriously, who cares?
Cause they stole fanatecs designs. It's what the Chinese do
Nice review, thanks for the content. Which adapter for console were you talking about?
Any idea why they would put a clutch on a steering wheel? I’m new here.
I got the R9 base, GS V2P GT wheel and SR-P pedals. I LOVE them! Kind of wish I had got the CRP pedals though. You do have to tweak the settings for each sim. Default settings aren’t that great. But it’s easy to find settings on the web.
Any discount code?
So can i use my fanatec v2 pedal set with this moza wheel and base by just plugging my pedal set into the pc
Yes correct, I tried it with my V3 and it worked
@@andrewvasquezzthat’s dope
You got the same back side as I did.
There are R9 bases with half the ports on the back.🤷
Yes makes no sense. V1 had 2 ports. But also seen r9 v2 with 2 ports and some with 5 ports
Hello, I am currently using the Thrustmaster T80 Wheel. I am considering upgrading to Fanatec dd pro, but considering the price I can buy both psvr2 and also the logitech G923 or similar. Can anyone guide me on this?. I am really confused. FYI, I only play online races and rarely touch the regular cafe menus.
hey! Maybe i can? The logitech 923 is a gear driven wheel with peak force of around 2 NM. It is quite loud and "notchy" due to the gears (you will feel them notch). The fanatec CSL DD, moza r5/r9 etc... are direct drive wheels with much more force and are extremely smooth since there's no gears/belts. They also tend to be more durable since there aren't a ton of moving parts. The quality of the wheels is MUCH higher than on a t80 or logitech 923. If you want more realistic driving forces I would highly recommend going with the Moza r5 or Fanatec CSL DD. The pedals will also be upgradable which is great. Most people who start with a 923 want to upgrade VERY shortly after. The other thing to consider is if you play on console or PC. if you play PC I'd say moza is a great way to go because their wheels are fairly inexpensive, they have lots of great upgrade paths, and their products are readily available. Fanatec has had SOOO many problems lately with shipping, customer service, etc... It is also very difficult to even find the 5 nm base fanatec DD in stock at all. so you'll be forced to buy the expensive "boost" power supply that ups the force to 8nm (although it is a worthy upgrade in my opinion). The R5 and/or r9 are great entry points into direct drive sim racing and offer excellent value to performance. Hope this helps!
New?? It's been out for a while. And it's not the C2 wheel, it is the CS wheel, and it's currently in its 2 gen, making it the CSV2
My Moza R9 is a week old. It was fantastic out of the box, and suddenly in the middle of a quali session 2 days ago, it started having a small input lag. With this lag, I cannot feel the car, and I cannot drive competitively AT ALL. It's outrageous, and I can't find a fix anywhere. Save your cash.
updated firmware?
You should play project trackday on roblox
"Don't want to mess around with the settings..." Dude, that's 90% of sim racing :) You always set something up, if it's hardware or software or the games or the cars, you are always setting something up.
tt probably IS the king. For those who have PCs. Those of us with consoles (PS5s at least), well ...
u get the mini simagic for almost the same price
@@Arvidjesame, as in PC only? These manufacturers should realise that even paying Sony a premium would be worth it.
Fanatec dropped the ball after the DD Pro and current disaster.
@@Arvidje true HOWEVER the wheels tend to cost quite a bit more for the sim-magic. I looked into this route myself but ultimately decided on the Moza R9 due to them performing similarly and having cheaper upgrade paths with the moza. I was able to build my R9 kit with SRP pedals for just under $650. The same setup using the alpha mini was $850 due to the more expensive button box on the sim-magic. Sure, there are some cheaper wheels coming for sim-magic but I was not real impressed with them versus the Moza offerings.
Cool wheel❤
Simagic mini is the king at the mid point.
Way batter than this. Fact
500+ 300 for base and wheel.
Do t make a mistake and buy this moza.
Difference is night and day
indeed
everyone is entitled to their opinion + simmagic wheels +mag link work with Moza based
bases**
Simmagic ecosystem is way more expensive though.
Bro That is a *Moza CS V2P* Not a C2..
U love dancing 💃
You say the wheel is heavy. That’s a bad thing for wheel bases.
@opticalslay3r783 9Nm is enough? I’ve got the DD pro 8Nm and could definitely have more
Lol😂😂😂 trying too hard for free stuff bro. Seriously
They are all overheating. Don't waste your cash.
What do you mean by ALL? All Moza or all dd bases ?
If you're referring to MOZA bases what you posted is NOT TRUE! so Quit Blatantly Lying.
I personally own an R9v1 as well as an R5 and NEITHER get hotter than LUKE WARM .... at the VERY MOST.
Mines fine, how's that fanatec quick release holding up tho?
@@ralphb8602mine has a VERY SMALL input lag, and I can't freaking drive. It's driving me nuts. Waste of money.
@opticalslay3r783 play longer races.. the force will be less
