“‘Total loss of detail… it’s a total photographers only problem… the buying public does not give a #%&@ about how detailed your photograph is…” Total blasphemy! And yet oh so very true! 😊😉👍🏼 Excellent rant. With some terrific examples. Too funny with the print loading. Funny because I’ve been there before, though not with prints. Glad you succeeded!
For my MFA thesis show I printed C-Prints of Instax Wide at about 16x20 and I was pretty happy with the quality...great video thank you for showing that you can do more with Polaroid!
love how versatile polaroids are. one of my favourite album covers (never before seen, never again found by arms length) was taken on a polaroid and you can tell, but even when blown up it still looks amazing
@@doublenegative4real instant photography is an underserved medium. There is real potential if camera makers made legitimate cameras with good lenses and manual controls. I personally use Instax Wide film with a Lomo Instant Wide for analog and Instax Link printer for digital.
Interesting and I wonder if canvas or something like watercolor or just a very textured paper could enhance the painterly vibes that some of the Polaroids?
Hey Man, all the Polaroids you’re scanning, do yourself a favor and grab a scan adapter from Brooklyn Film camera. Scan 4 Polaroids at once and no newton rings. I’ve been using one for years and I love it.
Maybe do a video of yourself talking without sound and then add voice over to mimic your lip movement afterwards - All joking aside, nice that you are dispelling some common issues with printing photos. Carry on WM.

@@rabidash oh cool! Instax printed large probably does look pretty good. Thanks for watching!!
I've always considered Polaroid large format film. 3.108 × 3.024" is a pretty big image area to enlarge as long as you have a good enough scanner
@@areallyrealisticguyd4333 great way to look at it!

@@clmrsmn agreed! Honestly after making these large prints I think I’m more in love with Polaroids than I was before

Funny I am going to Florida in october I will try to do some double exposures

@@MStrong95 Yes for sure! Texture would add an interesting feel to them most likely

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check that out!
I may have missed it, but how much would a basic color print these size cost on average ?
Those prints look excellent

Love how that last print turned out. Also loving the new vibe. Didn’t know you had such an angelic singing voice.
@@MattTheMinoltaGuy 😂 😂 😂
Let’s push the limits of printing Polaroids. Let’s do a 120x120 burger.
that looks awesome!
@@phil_aesthetics thanks!!
I really enjoyed this one.
@@WhoIsSerafin I’m glad! I had fun making it
