It’s a high fashion event, I feel like it’s more than okay to toe the line of “kooky” literalism with your look and let’s be honest, her prosthetics were incredible and she actually looked gorgeous. I haven’t really looked into it yet, just popped in and out of watching it last night but I’ve already scrolled by so many videos, posts, articles, etc making fun of Doja cat where when I saw her entrance I was like, finally someone who’s taken the theme of a met gala to heart and just gone for it! It’s a high fashion event, I feel like it’s more than okay to toe the line of “kooky” literalism with your look and let’s be honest, her prosthetics were incredible and she actually looked gorgeous. I was so bored by all the other plain runway looks that could be worn to literally any other red carpet event, she was a breath of fresh air doing sometime interesting to me. (And this is coming from someone who knows next to nothing about her except her red jem outfit was to some other event was weird in that context and the boots didn’t match)

I didn't like that a lot of the looks seemed so similar, but thats probably what you get when everyone's wearing the same designer. There were those 2 people wearing the same dress but one in white and one in black, and then there were like 3 or 4 black lacy revealing looks that all looked very similar to me as well. Part of the fun of the Met Gala outfits for me is how creative and different they all are, so this year felt like a flop.
