Hi:) A few weeks ago (Handel - Sarabande video), lots of my subscribers recommended playing this piece. The third one of the three concert etudes is known as “Un Sospiro” which means “A sigh”. This piece is good for a study in arpeggios. I hope that you guys like this performance!! Always leave your comment with any pieces which you want to listen to. Have a nice day!
Apart from Schubert's Impromptu in G flat, this is the most beautiful piano piece I've ever heard. I am only an amateur pianist but I am learning this piece. I stopped drinking alcohol at the beginning of the year and learned lots of piano pieces to keep myself busy. This year has been great, I am far less of a suicidal fuck-up and I want to cap it off by learning this. I've already managed a third. Your interpretation is incredibly moving, thank you, it motivates me to keep learning this masterpiece.
Everytime I listen to Liszt I'm like "Ok this is my favorite piece" then I keep on falling in love with a new one over and over again. I'm so in love with this piece, and it's a shame I'm only now finding it but thanks God I did ❤️ Amazing ❤️
Bravo, Kassia! It's been 2 years when I discovered your TH-cam channel, I remember the Chopin Prelude Op. 28 No. 16 ad, and I subscribed to your channel quickly. You play this more elegantly than most of the big-handed male pianists, with charm, a wonderful technique and a sparkling voice. As beautiful as your excellent performance of Rachmaninoff's Moment Musical No. 4, which Is the best I know out of many I heard! Keep up the great work!
I like how you played the arpeggios a bit quiet. It adds a different atmosphere from what i'm used to hear, it also makes the melody more enjoyable to listen to. Very nice performance !
I absolutely love this piece. It's one of Liszt's compositions that actually sound romantic and magical, along with his Liebestraums. Another great upload Kassia.
I absolutely love this piece, and this is so well played. Watching the fast hand movement while listening to the calming sound of this piece is kind of magical.
Some time I ago (well over a year), I did a search "Kassia Un Sospiro" on youtube. Everytime I go to the blank search box to type in something, that search term is still there along with many others I have used. I don't know why it stayed there so long, but I just saw it again when I came looking for Kassia's latest video performance. I loved it- a beautiful performance of what is probably my favorite of Liszt's etudes. Brava!
This is a piece that has a lot of emotions in it. It starts off being slow and calm, becomes dramatic before becoming calm again. It is almost as though it tells a story to the listener. Here's what I imagine the story to be. A man sets out for his evening walk in a park. He feels comforted by the warm glow of the setting sun, complemented nicely with a cool breeze. The birds are settling in as the shadows grow longer. He sits on a bench feeling relaxed. He remembers someone very dear to him. Various memories flood his mind, some bitter but mostly sweet. As he gazes over the horizon, he is filled with happy memories and times spent with the loved one. Suddenly, he realizes that he has no way of reliving these memories anymore for the loved one has gone. The sky grows darker. Anguish fills his heart, followed quickly by rage. He is enraged at his fate, for he is now alone. He feels disconnected from the rest of the universe. The rage slowly subsides, followed by despair and utter helplessness. Clouds of confusion blur his vision as tears stream down his eyes. He knows he has to move on but he can’t. He sits in silence, unable to move, unable to think, unable to do anything. A leaf lands on his shoulder. He glances at it and turns. He finds a tree beside him. This tree was a dwarf and was covered by the shadows of the trees around it Yet the dwarf had never shriveled or cursed at its fate. Instead, it had spouted new branches and had found innovative ways to reach out for the sun. The man feels calm as a new kind of energy coursed through his veins. He still had the sorrow inside of him but now had also found a companion in the tree. He felt renewed and now had the courage to move on and live his life.
