Seiko Tuna is one of the most serious divers watch out there. When you see one, you have met a serious watch lover

One of the best Seiko diver models. I have a 6.75 inch wrist and my sbbn007 (crop circle markers, no marinemaster text) wears so well and this coming from someone who’s favorite watch size is 36mm

The SBBN045 is probably my favorite watch in my entire collection.

I've owned my SBBN031 for over 3 years now. It's beat to hell and it still makes it onto my wrist all the time. I replaced the hardlex with sapphire and I'm going to buy a strapcode bracelet. It's a bit heavy, but it's one of the most comfortable watches I've ever worn. It likely won't ever leave my collection.

Still have it Rob. Love it. Second hand hits the marks spot on. Haven’t worn it in a long time, but you inspired me to strap it on. Time was also on the money. Will never sell it, too much history to you, Bruce and the gang.🎉

It's the Toyota LandCruiser of watches. It's a big chunk of steel, comfortable, practical and indestructible.
It doesn't matter if it's been sitting under your bed for 2 years, if the lighting is bad, if you dropped it on concrete, if you are diving under water, you know that this watch will tell the time. And the time will be right and you're not even gonna need your glasses because it is as legible as it gets. I love it.

Since the new tuna's hand back to the original look, the previous version monster hand had become the unique icon of tuna family.(And I really love my sbbn031)

As far as Seiko’s mid-tier goes, this may be the best value for money.

The steel bezel version of this exact model i bought 2 years ago. My first watch in this price range. I sold it 6 months later, but i gravitate towards this again like a long lost love of mine. Love that it's not as big as the other Tuna's 50mm+ so very wearable.

In my humble opinion I think the application of this level of 'utterly ridiculous' amount of Lumibrite (which is fortunate for us lume junkies!) isn't only on the Tunas but across the whole Marine Master family.
I have three different MMs - an older MM300 quartz Tuna (SBBN031), a Spring Drive GMT MM600 (SBDB011), and also a mechanical MM300 (SBDX043). I feel safe in saying the lume intensity and longevity across all three is very comparable.

I like this one but would rather have a baby tuna.

Ceramic will always look "new", even in five decades. Aluminum bezel patina's gorgeous. One of the reasons 5k Tudor Black Bay's have aluminum.

    • @lamadoo
      @lamadoo ปีที่แล้ว

@@ivanmejia6843 The Tudor Black Bay 58 is a vintage inspired watch with patina already on it so it will look good with an aluminum bezel. A ceramic bezel on a 58 is like mixing water with oil. This here is a modern Seiko tuna

    +or - 15 sec for a quartz? for $1000 ? pass i'll stick to the clones with an nh35 or a PT5000

Much prefer my SBBN031 to this. Don't like the new crystal design, the smaller, wart-like crown, or the Disney cartoonishly-fat minute hand. The existing indices were already nuclear bright, so the ballooning of them in service to "new" makes no sense to me. I do miss the "Marinemaster Professional," too, as the huge "X" is just corporate branding instead of a description of what the watch is/does. Thanks for your great review, as usual.

    • @readyme

Recreational diving makes no sense. I can imagine shoals of fish or a rusty U-boat whilst desk-diving if necessary. Under these conditions my Tuna has never let me down (or drown.)
