A nice hearty stew and bring some flour for pan Frye’s bread yum. That’s a beautiful place for the video and build, thanks so much for the video, looking forward to the next one.
Simple breakfast crisp bacon, rye bread and a slab of cheddar cheese. Cook the bacon, put the sandwich together with a little butter on the outside of the rye and then grill to taste, made many for our elk camp crew to take with them to their stand/area. Dogs are great always!!
When we're camping, a go to recipe is foil package chicken. We create big foil package, enough for a couple thighs, some slices of green onion, made a slice of raw ginger, and some teriyaki sauce. Seal package well enough to make airtight. As the chicken gets staem inside, the package will expand. Cook thoroughly, usually at least 45 minutes. Plenty of time to make rice, and maybe a quick salad. Enjoy! Thanks for the great vid! Shout out, from the high desert, of Southern California.

When you want to cook up a meal on your next adventure I would cook fried chicken,even barbecue chicken,fried potatoes rolled in bread crumbs and then fried,even baked beans. That's what I suggest,but you can cook what you want . Can't wait to see your finished shelter. Stay safe .
Chicken Cordon Bleu Pasty. Precooked boneless chicken breast, deli sliced ham, deli sliced Swiss cheese. Tube Crescent roll dough. Bake raised in a Dutch oven on Parchment. I use a folding steamer basket (the type that fit in a sauce pan) with the handle removed, small enough to lay open flat in the oven with gaps around the sides. it can be bent flatter for more baking surface. Stack chicken ham cheese, wrap with dough bake till golden... easy

Hello from the Pacific Northwest! I recommend cooking up a Dutch oven taco soup. It's a household favorite whenever I'm in the mood to cook over the fire. Works great on the woodstove, too, if you don't mind scaling it down to fit in a skillet. Cheers to you and Amber!

I call him Boom Boom because he loves to run around and run over obstacles. . .PEOPLE, Trash cans, other dogs, our Calico cat etc. He's a sweetheart but like Amber he gets the Zoomies and just runs for the shear joy of it!

It's been a cooking technique around eons longer than Crock Pots or slow cookers. Hint: you'll have to dig for it. Looking forward to what you uncover. (That was another hint!!)

Rabbit 🐇. Grew up in the Herefordshire area eating rabbit in the early 50ies. In fact, the village had a rabbit catcher who caught them, dispatched them and sold them. In the town the grocer sold game including rabbit! We had it as a stew. A sweet meat as I remember.

My father had a recipe for a steak marinade. One part Worcestershire sauce, and one part red wine. No salt or pepper needed. You can also boil the marinade down, and dip the steak in it.

I'd love to see you snare some game from the woodland in catch and cook. So maybe a slow cooked rabbit in Guinness in the camp oven (Dutch oven) or anything I don't know what's there squirrel, pheasants anything from the woodland even if you actually bring the food but could have caught it.

Make a shrimp pasta salad. cherry tomatoes, red green and yellow bell peppers ,onion. Garlic powder, salt, pepper paprika and mayonnaise stir all together and voila. Its delicious
Great video, so exited to see what this shelter becomes. Ideas for meals you could cook: Pas Thai, fish and potatoes chowder. One thing maybe you could add in future videos is simply put the name of the knots you use, so we can study them afterwards.
