Crazy travel day for sure buddy. At the end of the day you made it unscathed. Nice hotel room that but gave the budget a hammering. Looking forward to what the future holds. Hope your dream comes true - but in order to own any land in Thailand you'll need a Thai wife or a legitimate Thai company (but you can only own 49% of the company with the other 51% controlled by a Thai, meaning you're always the junior partner). Can get 30 year leases, which can be extended up to 90 years, but as a foreigner you cannot own land in Thailand
