I find it interesting that people in Japan like American or European skin care. Tried Lancome and Origins for years and not impressed. Love Hadalabo and Biore!
French pharmacy skincare brands are really good and affordable in Europe, though. Especially the sensitive and dry skin lines. I love products from Bioderma, la-Roche Posay, Avene, Uriage, SVR.
@@ninalou4629 Avene Extremely Gentle cleansing lotion is my all time favourite second cleanser. It is so gentle and hydrating yet effective at the same time. Think about the CeraVe hydrating cleanser but more hydrating, more effective without a residue left on your skin. I like Avene's Hyrannce Legere moisturisers for my combination skin, though I haven't used that one for a while. From Uriage, I only used their sunscreen. Bariesun sf50+ cream is relatively light (texture is similar to the infamous Purito one), it doesn't sting my eyes, no white cast and I'm more confident I get a really high UVA protection (min PPD 20)
@@marconemeth9683 for a long time I loved Cerave hydrating cleanser but I started getting blackheads on my nose such I never had in my life!. Haven't tried Avene.
@@corlissyamasaki3476 yeah same! CeraVe wasn’t cleansing properly. If you use an effective oil cleanser you should be fine with it as a second cleanse. I just prefer Avene given their cleansers are in the same price range as CeraVe in the UK.
I currently live in Japan and I enjoy all your skincare content! I am loving using the Haha Lado toners. They are a game changer. You're right about skincare here in Japan...everytime I go to the store, there is something new I haven't seen before!
I looooove the Naturie skin conditioner. I got a bottle at my local Japanese shop and it came with a travel size spray bottle, and I spritz that on my face all the time. Love it! Also, don't judge me lol but I will spritz it on my hair when it's air-drying and I get the best soft curls. My hair is naturally wavy but can go frizzy, and something about this just works. It was an accidental discovery from when I would spritz it on my face after showering and letting my hair air dry, I noticed that the waves/curls around my face just looked softer and smoother around my face. So one day I just spritzed it all over my hair and wow. I'll never be without it. HG.
I live in Japan and the drug store can be so overwhelming! I love all your videos about Japanese skincare and makeup because it helps me make choices and recognize items ❤️
Hi Tina! Love your channel. I moved to Okayama from Texas last year and your suggestions have made the beauty transition really fun. I just started using the Oneskin products from Ainz&Tulpe. I love them. They are super gentle, cheap, and easy to try out because they come in tiny travel sizes. Maybe you could review them. Thanks for your helpful videos!
I bought narutie toner late last year after watching your video. I love it so much I can definitely tell my skintone is evened and brightened. Just ordered my second bottle on iherb , for $11 aus dollar 500ml that’s a bargain
Oh wow, that moment when you feel like you know quite a lot of skincare brands and products and then you watch this and understand that you know nothing 😭😅
Who would dislike this video? I'm feeling protective of Tina. Hahaha. She's such a cheerful, helpful and real youtuber, I'm looking suspiciously at downvotes. Love this video! Been buying Hada labo lotions since 2016, and tried the naturie skin conditioning gel last 2018. It came with a small bottle of the naturie lotion, which was so so for me. Will try the biggie version, and layer it up!
thank God for the hada labo being available in the Philippines! the hydaration is so spot on since wearing mask for a long time dehydrates my skin 🥲🥲, im trying to let my skin recuperate everytime i got the chance.. thanks for this list!
Hi Tina, currently you are my only source for Japanese skincare and beauty! Do you know any other AB English-friendly japanese youtubers who you recommend? 🤗
I ordered all the hado labo lotions except the alpha(red bottle). Very excited to try them all. You are right about toners. Here in the U.S. toners are the least commonly used beauty product aside from sunscreen. We rarely wear sunscreen unless it's hot or we are going to be outside for 2 hrs or longer.
Thank you so much for posting this video! I have my second interview at Ulta tomorrow and your videos have been extremely informative for studying J-Beauty and their trends.
The lancome serums are amazing. I used it because my mum gifted me a box set and it helped to return my skin to normal from extremely dry. It was good because now I can use other products and they are working, when they weren't before I used the lancome
I usually go to Japan every year and I remember that Hatomugi toner and the Biore cleansers were both very popular, my Japanese housemates used to have Biore cleansers so the bathroom always had tons of them. Also Shiseido Aqua Label was everywhere, this was back in 2016 though so I would assume trends have changed. I used many of these products, and also a few of the the rosette cleansers as well, I remember buying them as they were bestsellers in one of the drug stores
Hey Tina just watched ur new vedio. U help to choose right j beauty product. Most of time I was confused to choose right one because of I don't know Japanese language 😅. U helped me to clear it. Thanks Tina ❤ love from USA.

I wanted to try it, and I do enjoy it... oh yes please do a review on Curel... Cyrille laurent a frech youtuber is always recomending this brand!!! By the way I am also loving the Naturi lotion!!! I looked up the Exage White White Rise Milk on YesStyle and it's AU$111 I almost passed out (although on the Albion website it says it's ¥3,300 for 110g/¥5,500 for 200g which is... still a lot)
Hope you can go to Japan soon😢 and yesss please do more of this type of videos - it was so interesting to watch!! (Also highly relate to not being able to make Japanese moisturizers work unfortunately; it's the finish and messy jar packaging that gets to me oops)
VT Cica Daily Soothing Mask has a really great ingredients list.. and it's very affordable too. Such a shame that it has such a strong fragrance/scent, immediately breakout my skin :(
