I personally like characters who are messy so naturally i gravitated towards Will aka The King of Drama™ lol but Jem deserves appreciation for just being so wholesome and mature. I feel like those kinds of love interests are not usually common in ya fantasy stories, so it’s refreshing having a character like Jem!

I read clockwork angel back in middle school when I was going through my mortal instruments phase, but never finished the series… Last week, I bought the boxed set and proceeded to speed through them all in like 3 days. Listen, if these weren't marketed so strongly as paranormal ya at the time that i thought they were like twilight in setting, i might've actually ended up reading and having fun with a victorian mystery setting, but I know I wouldn't be able to enjoy them kow as an adult lol 😂 thanks for the retroactive experience!
I say do it! At least in my opinion, the books get better as they go on (although fans tend to agree that fallen angels is kinda slow, but listening to the audiobook while doing chores/stuff could help with getting past the slow parts)

I only know about the first series bc Cari Can Read is almost done with a breakdown of that one and it's WILD but the last two.. they need you! Although I'd also watch your breakdown of the first one, different booktubers focus on different things during a summary and I'd love to hear your take (although, I think you mentioned this in your latest vid, the first one seems so much worse (story-wise) than this one! I actually low-key love the "love triangle", it's the only one I've ever liked, and although I'm team James, the way they all love each other is great writing.
