    Yes, changing the whole thing is probably a better idea, unless you want to feel the satisfaction of using an engine completely rebuilt by yourself. Where I am at there's a shop that sells only the engine, which is super nice. Just get it, swap the broken one out, and you can get back to riding in less than half an hour.

    Nicely done. Now do GM 5.3LS, lifters $2.2k or overhaul $5k😀

      I've been a Chevy guy my whole life but when they started doing the lifter claps thing & engine turning off at every inter-section thing, I bought my first Ford that didn't do all that crap & so far I'm glad I did. Before I bought it, I noticed that all my friends' shops had a large number of Chevys there all for the same thing (bad lifters & cams) so that helped with my decision. Then I noticed an awful lot of chevy trucks at car dealers for sale compared to Ford & even Dodge, so I took a shot on a Ford.. 🤷‍♂🤷‍♂If this is happening to you, you have my sympathy, a guy tries to get something nice & then this.. 😭😭
