ANTIPOISON hit the stage at about 2am. The other bands were WELL (aka. The Warren Ellis 4) • WELL - Roll Out the Ba... WHITE CROSS and THING. ANTIPOISON were billed as special guests (because we'd changed our name from The Relaxettes • ANTIPOISON - LIVE Prah... • The Relaxettes - LIVE ) which might explain why much of the crowd left before we started.
These recordings ended up as pre-production for the 'Happy Monoculture' sessions and some new songs are not fully arranged and sound like jamms. Our faithful fans and crew had a grand time as we got closer to the musical stratosphere. We ended our set with some favourite covers from The Relaxettes set for the last time, Peter Gunn(s Son) Theme which had a remake on the radio at the time, Interstellar Overdrive and Fire, which had been covered by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers on Mother's Milk that year.
We never smashed our stuff but 'round about 4am Ben, with his bass and amp fell off the stage ending the show. I'm extremely grateful to Gareth who recorded the night on a Tascam 246.
