I like the game gives you visualization for dead zone and linearity setting, pretty handy!!!
From what I have noticed about the racing lines is that the colors change as you apply your brake or speed on turns. The red will dissipate as you apply your brakes. So for me I learned to kind of just hold release hold release hold the brake and gas to match the colors more. If that makes sense.
yes that's exactly how it works and i've been using idk what issue he's having with racing like but it's very helpful for corners and turns also don't have to keep your eyes on the gps as much 😭
This is genuinely the best settings video in the ways that it was very clear and made sense but I also didn't get board, for that thank you and I hit the sub button.

You know what? I appreciate this video. You don't understand, I have been playing since early release and I just know that at this rate I'm gonna end up with arthritis in my hands from playing this game. At first I'm like,ok this is what it is and I'm cool with getting arthritis in my hands over playing this. The game is loads of fun. It's a breath of fresh air! However,my hands are taking a beating and I feel like my PS5 controller is just gonna crumble into pieces in my hands while I'm in these intense races with 27 other sweaty players. LMAO. Arthritis ok,broken controller not ok. I appreciate you breaking down the settings and what they are for and how to utilize them. I found myself struggling to negotiate the same turns that others seem to just blast right through and gap the crap outta me. I will make my necessary adjustments based off of this video right here and just send it. Hopefully this works. I have a whole racing sim seat with the shifter and pedals and wheel,but at this point I'm terrified to set it up and try that. I thank you for explaining the settings and their functionalities. I will like this video and subscribe right now! Thank you again! Fingers crossed! Figuratively because if I actually cross them now they might not go back to normal due to this game killing my hands. I mean after one online race I feel like Ricky Bobby during his interview after his race holding his hands up uncontrollably 😂
I like the racing line, I don’t use it often but it can be helpful at times if Im unfamiliar with the area it’s just a second map

I joined the discord. I’m stuck working nights till mid October so I mostly play in the morning. Hopefully when I’m back full duty I can run some with you guys. I’m chill, zero tilt ( unless someone spins me out in second place in a grand race ) 😂. Literally happened to me twice this morning. I absolutely love this game. I’m and above average player so I’ll definitely fit in. Keep up the great work. 👍🏽✌🏽

After 10 yrs driving only with steering wheel now im NOOB on joystick, this set up helped me a lot...im still bad btw xd but lot better than before.
These tips helped me a ton man. I come from Forza and never played any of The Crew games so I appreciate it! Also, I noticed when you got to gearbox that you had a couple extra options while I only have auto and sequential. Is there a way to get manual w/clutch in this game like you can in forza?
If you have a wheel and pedals you can select H-shifter with clutch.
Unfortunately there is no clutch option that I have been able to set up reliability

12:30 all these controller features you're showing are crazy gamechangers. can't believe I had all this dead zone and corrective things on. no wonder why I have not been feeling the game, OG ps2 and ps3 racers didnt have all these extra options hindering the experience whilst fixing things for others.
Really liked the information from this video. I have 2 other problems, maybe 3. How to turn off 'Playlist flashing by the mini map: how to turn Cara off ( let's say I got her off and lost the mini map :( and why is my mouse so sensitive in game? Thanks for any help!
Hey Alex, if you are running manual and want to have the controls feel similar to classic manual controls you can change the controller layout to manual in the controller settings, this way you can cgange the gears with X and Y instead of the bumpers
I already re-mapped the buttons day one to that configuration.

If u are in a crew and everybody has activated the same playlist u all make progress on the playlist. I do it al the time with friends. 👌🏼✌🏼

I play on PS4 and I don’t have as many options as you have, with gearbox I can only choose sequential and automatic and they both do the shifting for me and I can’t shift with my steering wheel clips
Can you do a video of the car settings? i remember when i started the game it had 3 option an i accidently clicked the 3rd option where it said something about no transaction an all that when you first finish the 3 intro races. Not sure how to fix that.
Informative video, appreciated the explanations.
If I may offer some constructive feedback...in this video (or future videos) I think it would be helpful to put in chapters so it's easier to navigate the video. For example I wanted to go back and see what you said about the settings related to ABS,TCS, etc. Instead of being able to jump to a chapter that could represent the section those settings are in...I need to start the video over and just fast forward manually.

just take notes ? idk why he should go the extra miles when people who come for information can leave with information IF they takes notes, which is also faster than always coming back to this video or watching another one etc.

do you recommend changing linearity and steering settings differently if you dont have kontrol freek extenders?
That's a personal preference thing I'd play around with it and see what you like

about the racing line i kinda disagree,for me its good that its there so i can somewhat asume when i need to start breaking or of it a sharper corner,on the other hand QUITE OFTEN those lines gets somewhat buggy,and get FULL RED in almost straight road i guess due to UI making a track on the fly so racing lines gets messy ,but over all they are alright

Does anyone know why when I hit a tree or an unbreakable object it now resets me? Been playing the last month no problem and today every time I hit a wall or anything unbreakable at high speeds it resets me like 100 yards back. Does anyone know how to fix this?

My issue
Changing from L3 to another button helped but unfortunately no button is unassigned...when hard cornering you tend to press the horn 😕
On ps5 I switched my horn to the left side of the touch pad. Hope that helps... on an xbox controller I couldnt see it happening though.
Hello, I also play the game on PC with a steering wheel LOGITECH G920. From the beginning, the trottel is ALWAYS set to maximum when i drive. What should I do?

I have followed your control setting. I’m on Xbox series x and I’m still sliding around like crazy. I have always slow down around corners and go but end up sliding around. It’s frustrating me that AIs have smooth turning and stuff while I just slide like I’m drifting so much. And plus while driving atv vehicle, it won’t turn well it just staggering turn around the corner. Do you know why??
The settings I show are how to set up your controller and game.
Each car needs a Tune and Parts to reach full potential.
Some cars are just drifty, others are very planted and stable.
Check out a few of the cars I already have tunes for, that will give you an idea how a car should feel.
Well thing is, I’m using the loaner car from the playlist. I haven’t use my own cars yet. Is that why? Cuz the loaner car is badly set up?
It's happening with me too McLaren 720 and when I go around corners or small roads the cars just drift and lose control 😢
Massive deadzone on xbox even if set to 0! Makes the game almost unplayable,hope they fix it soon.
Quick tip I have found.
If you turn rewind off you can reset your car in races, including the Grand Race instead of having to rewind and lose lots of time.
Rewind still works in free roam and challenges (speed traps) though from my testing.

Because you're probably on console and that's not an option for you
Why is my nitro bar not blue when it is at the full state like yours? Mine is yellow when empty too😭

Manual shift is a very big thing.
I used it exclusively and it works flawless

I think Motion Blur might actually be just a PC thing. It's not an option on PS5, at least not for me.

I'm 2 weeks late. I'm just trying to get all the trophies. Game is mid to me. Im an OG arcade racer. Can I sell cars to make money? I beat every "story" race and playlist but am left with 40% trophies.
No you cannot sell cars.
Try the Grand Race PVP. It is quite fun.
I am sure some of the trophies require a large car collection and also some PVP wins
So I can't sell cars or parts? I dont want to grind races for money. I have like 60 cars in my collection since about 40 were imported from Crew 2. Thanks for the info anyways. The tips you showed helped for gameplay experience improvement @@alexcornnut

My game literally doesnt have motion blur options. I want more of it bc coming from forza jesus the cars feel slow asf in this game. Almost makes it not even fun feeling like im just barely moving
