      Learn about cognitive functions and other typology mechanisms, that will surely help you. This video uses a lot of stereotypes and won’t really help you to determine which type you really are. Intps and Intjs aren’t that similar.

    Unpopular opinion: INTJ AND INTP is, theoretically, the best relationship.
    They're both similar on the outside but different on the inside, meaning, behaviorally there will be a lot of harmony and no sharp contrasts as they would (likely) be pretty similar to each other in that regard, and intellectually, they would compliment each other well and improve on each others faults. INTPs would help INTJs be more open minded and INTJs would help INTPs to be more focused. On top of that, INTPs and INTJs are both (on average) the most intelligent types. The possibilities are endless.

    INTPs do plan and plan and plan. I've been planning things all my life. Long lists. Maybe some day I'll actually follow through complete something. Or not.
    If you're not sure whether you're INTP or INTJ, this is often clarifying. INTPs are notorious for delving into topics or interests, but will often either not finish a project or will be distracted by something else and abandon (even if temporarily) a previously begun pursuit. If I could tell you how many hobbies I've had. INTJs once focused on something will typically follow it to a conclusion.

    so far as i've heard in several compare/contrast videos for INTJ/P, i am a mix of both. not sure if having "J/P" qualities is prohibitive to one or the other. but i find that equal differences of both. mild frustration until i realize that "i" am not a textbook and don't have to fit perfectly into a thing.

      If you're honest and think about it. The archetypes and personality types where never created for understanding the internal self. Those properties where always meant to help in your visualization of the others. That's the secret.

    So far, I'm somehow more of an INTJ, but I do prefer a better internal world to a better external world but I do have a good external world, since my function stack is Ni Te Fi and Se. I react a little more to stress like an INTP but also still like an INTJ.
    I can care a little more about feedback but I only do so from people that matters to me. If you don't really matter to me, I'll likely not care at all about what you think of me.
    So far, I'm a lot more of an INTJ than an INTP. Though, I may still need further clarifications.

    At first I’m still confused whether I’m an INTJ or INTP but I tend to plan so much and I agree that I’m obsessed with details and would come up with back-up plans just in case. I get really frustrated when things don’t go as planned but proceeds with dealing with it anyway. Once I finish the task, that’s when I’ll self-reflect.

  • @ejred3

    On second thought INTJs don't need admiration. They just need to be in control. Meanwhile the INTPs who are by nature minimalists need recognition? Smh. Right. I think I'll make my POV on this video. It's absolutely one sided. INTJs do everything and INTPs are lucky to even be able to do anything well. Must be my FE really kicking my ass.

  • @jjleeisme
    @jjleeisme ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You have an incredibly big flaw in this vid. Carl Jung never ever said anything about INTJs. The 4th diacotomy of Judging and percieving is a fabricsation of Meyer-Briggs. They say that Jung implied those aspects which he did not. If you read Jung's 1921 paper on personality types - a difficult read at best - you will not see any reference to that type of thinking. Jung himself did not believe in typing as he said in a live interview and said that typing was only an indication of traits. There is no cognitive stach in Jungs typing either.

    I got 51% on the “P” side and 49% on the “J” side so I have a lot of Intj qualities while being a INTP at the center. I am like an Intj at work and an intp normally. The only real quality I don’t have with the Intj is the life planning part.
    Why problem with hobbies and ideas I write them down do all the math and details draw out the blueprints and then buy all the materials and start to build or create it then once I get 80%ish completed I get bored or tired and don’t finish it. Then move on to something else, I will eventually come back to finish it later but is usually much later and depends on how big my project was. I’m a finish everything in one day or it doesn’t get done Type of person, with my hobbies.

      Where would you like to lead?
      I think to become a leader of a group as Intp you have to think what a typical leader does. And then do it yourself. (Some better body language would be good eighter). For example in group projects you are the one who organizes when the group meets up or in meetings you say when the group has to do what. And you take over the delegation and look out that everyone has something to do or atleast that everything that has to be done will be done by someone.
      Thats atleast my experience on how to be atleast a bit a leader as an Intp

    • @brendalg4
      @brendalg4 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Krizlyyy it would be somewhere that I know and could help with. I know you have to delegate etc. The leader doesn't just do it all. They also get opinions they don't just decide everything themselves

    Is it just me or INTJs are described way too similar to ENTJs? It's indeed a good video tho, but I'm confused about this point.

    • @EvvrEndeavors
      @EvvrEndeavors 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      INTJs and ENTJs are actually very different and probably wouldn’t get along well unless it had to with something like working on a business plan because the INTJ is really good at being the visionary for ideas while the ENTJ is really good at getting tasks done and networking - INTJs lead with introverted intuition, and have extroverted thinking as their second function. ENTJs lead with extroverted thinking, and have introverted intuition as their second function. Also ENTJs don’t have repressed extroverted sensing like INTJs do. But INTJs don’t have repressed introverted feeling like ENTJs do. This means that INTJs struggle more in social situations as compared to ENTJs. INTJs tend to have more of a focus on their values because they have stronger introverted feeling than ENTJs. ENTJs are typically more focused on winning social hierarchies while INTJs typically don’t care as much considering they place a higher emphasis on their internal world and bringing their individual goals into reality using extroverted thinking. Think of ENTJs generally as a “alpha” personality and the INTJs generally as a “sigma” personality.
