Q: Can you elaborate on the challenges of AI infrastructure and how open-source AGIs can address them?
A: The speaker mentions that one of the challenges of AI infrastructure is the difficulty of conducting large training runs across multiple machines. The current infrastructure is closed source and hard to use. Open-source AGIs can address this challenge by providing accessible and user-friendly AI infrastructure, lowering the bar for training jobs and making AI more accessible to a wider range of people.
Additionally, the speaker expresses a desire to replace the professional managerial class with decentralized AI. They believe that having a personal assistant that fundamentally answers to the individual, rather than a company like Google, is important. Open-source AGIs can contribute to this goal by providing personal assistants that are aligned with and answer to the individual user.
Overall, open-source AGIs can help address the challenges of AI infrastructure by providing accessible and user-friendly tools, as well as empowering individuals with AI assistants that are aligned with their needs and interests.

I'm an interaction technology master student, and big suspire, it hate it. The idee of a personal add block against AI build with AI could actually have a positive impact in the world. I see so many young people hooked on socials and stuck in the little bubble.
However the less, your target audience actually wants to be in a bubble, and they don't see the dangers of personalized content anyway, so there is a big problem with that.

George understands safety for example github.com/commaai/openpilot#safety-and-testing and he prefers to engineer solutions that use good engineering practices. Good architecture is secure by default. When you are at the point where you need pen testers you already failed, and you should go back to the drawing board.
His projects are open source meaning if someone notices a security issue, they will report to the project versus closed sourced projects that use security through obscurity.
tinygrad runs locally on the device, tinybox runs locally on the local home network. Why would you need pen testers for testing systems that will run in closed system that is generally secure?
The tiny corp and tiny grad are in quite early stages of development and using resources on pen testers is just plain stupid. There are things that should get resources before pen testers are even considered and if you know George he will never hire pen testers as he can do that on his own if he would see the need for that kind of testing.
You do know who George is right en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Hotz#Security_research
George is looking for talented engineers to execute on his vision of tiny corp by doing good work on bounties docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WKHbT-7KOgjEawq5h5Ic1qUWzpfAzuD_J06N1JwOCGs/edit?usp=sharing you can get a position at the company if you are interested.

The problem with George is that he adopts an almost reverse-imposter syndrome mentality with every project. "Oh look here comes I, the great Geohot. This person did a good job with this technology, but I'm gonna come in there and destroy the competition alone in 3 months." The reality is that he comes in, makes a spin-off version of a great product, then his brand fizzles out before he can focus on scaling the darn thing.
