I recently cut indirect from my list in favor of some 15 man Scion bricks but after a couple test games found that they were relatively easy to screen out (due to the absence of indirect) and often overkilled the targets they did get. I'm dropping down to 10 man units of Scions and putting my 2 ECB's with Creed and infantry squad back in the list.
@@Joushi40k Just standard GW terrain maps. The only concern I have about dropping to 10 man Scions is that their overwatch threat is diminished. I might go 2x15 instead of 3x10 since it's roughly the same amount of points. I also run 3 Ogryn busses with Exterminators so the indirect somewhat forces people to commit into that shooting when they otherwise might not want to. Pretty good against the current top meta armies like Drukhari and Blood Angels. You thinking of adding your indirect back in to your tournament list?
Another great video. Love my bassilisks, but instead of playing 2 I now only play 1. Traded 1 for a 6 man squad of bullgryns which lets me keep the -2" movement and be harder to push of an objective.
what about a scout sentinels? don't they just make indirect fire units so much better, and you can revive them and send them back into spotting targets for your artillery.
Not really, unfortunately it's not possible to get artillery to hit on better than a 4+ unless it's firing directly We USED to be able to get indirect to hit on 2+ with rr1s, but now it's not a big enough of a buff to really justify making it a core strategy

Ah interesting changes! What type of terrain layouts do you tend to play on?
