Yea the weather was very good to us!! Reading stories in the hut book of 10 day trips with 10 days of rain definitely made us thankful for the weather we got!! Thanks

Yea mate, quite limited with weight flying in but definitely the quickest way to get in :) we drove through the night 13 hours to get there! Long way!! Cheers for the comment

Cool video. I’ve spent some time in that block, shot one in the hut creek - dragged it back to the hut. Some of the lads were still sleeping!

Hi Mate, how to get there into Stewart Island? from Philippines. is there need a travel from South Island NZ via Land, or just an small plane as you did on the video?

i hope you taxidermied those heads... taking more than one buck shouldnt be allowed.. if you just hunt for the meat thats fine, dont shoot more than one buck for the meat, shoot them for the trophy as well so you can forever appreciate the animal. shoot the does instead of multiple bucks
Thanks for the comment mate, yep both heads and skins were taken home and made the most of and seeing them brings back all the great memories. As I said it was our first white tail so pretty special to us. Was only 1 each shot and when I head back it will only be does for meat. Unless a big 8 point jumps out in front of me :) cheers
