    Amazing video, Brittany, and a really good itinerary! Such a good mix of stuff. ❤ And as soon as you said about Mt Doom - the mountain's name which you weren't going to try to pronounce - it had to be Ngauruhoe, lol - that's a mean one (gnah roo hoe ee)! I stopped on the Desert Road to watch Mt Ruapehu, which is next to it, erupting in 1996 - that was incredible!

    Hey! If you could do it all over again, would you still choose Nelson to live? You only recommend staying for 1 night but lived there for 6+ months? Just curious as my partner and I will be moving to NZ (from Canada) for 1 year to work and Nelson is at the top of our list at the moment! Would love to know your honest opinion! Thank you!

    • @brittanymorgan09
      @brittanymorgan09  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@cvptiv6632 it was a great place to live but if I could do it over, I'd definitely pick Wellington or Christchurch! Nelson is a bit quiet (though still lots to do) and employment opportunities were limited.

    Hey Brittany 🙂 I thought you were very kind about Auckland - a lot of people are not so nice about the city. It's not the best tourist destination (because it doesn't have high population density it can lack the vibe you get from other cities) but it is quite a pleasant place to live for a while.

    • @brittanymorgan09
      @brittanymorgan09  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Although I wouldn't live in Auckland long term, I feel like there's lots of fun things to do and it's perfect for tourists who love some high end shopping. It has its charm for sure, even if you have to dig for it 😉

      @@brittanymorgan09 The other thing is that Auckland is the primary gateway for long-hauls flights to NZ, so a couple of nights to recover from the jet-lag before doing a road trip (esp on the 'wrong' side for many tourists) is a sensible idea.

    Hello Brittany,
    Recent stats say Auckland is top 10 most liveable cities in the world. Whats your take/opinion on that Brittany based on your experience during your time/stay in New Zealand? Would you say its cap ? Lol.
    Thanks.

    • @brittanymorgan09
      @brittanymorgan09  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I found Auckland to be far too expensive for the quality of life there. The traffic is absolutely horrible, though they are building infrastructure to help that. It's too humid/damp for me and I much preferred living on the south island. I wouldn't recommend living in Auckland, I'm surprised it's high up on the livability list!

    • @JusticeFi
      @JusticeFi 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@brittanymorgan09 Me too! As an Aucklander myself you're pretty right, Im actually not exactly sure why Auckland is so high on the list for years now... haha

    • @trudimclaren4301
      @trudimclaren4301 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would put Wellington there, but I'm not sure what their population cutoff is to qualify as a 'city' 🫤 definitely wouldn't put Auckland on there, but agree, Brittany - Wellington is one of my favourite places in the world too (would be my ultimate place to live - kicking myself that I didn't stay there in my 20s! 😓) 😊❤

    Did you find New Zealand landscape much like Canada? Seems like it is very much like Alberta, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland. I live in Toronto. No question New Zealand is beautiful. I am just not sure worthwhile for me to fly half way around the earth to see those views.

    • @brittanymorgan09

      I definitely found many parts of New Zealand to be like Canada. Some areas are unique like Milford Sound and Wharariki. The really cool thing about NZ is how much variety you can see in a short time. You can drive coast to coast within a day and see some really special wildlife which was a huge draw!
