Only way for her to get you is if you are chased up there. If she sees you already up there then she’ll go either way but not get you. Another way to make sure she can’t is to face the door inwards to the staircase and not like in the video. She’ll pretty much hug the door and grab you. So it still works just gotta play your cards right
So basically, what you need to do as you're heading out from where you started shut that main door back from the inside of the main area and open it back up so the door is facing inwards towards the stairwell.
