- Preferring her own solitude and known for being a hermit, she became an unlikely star of British television for her love of talking about art.
Sister Wendy died at the age of 88.
So glad that her life of educating the public about art and living in solitude for God left her with such great joy at the end. She was truly a blessing to us.

I am reading her Book of Saints now. She wrote brilliantly. Simple, funny, with a greate taste to sophisticated rare species. God, Have mercy on Her soul. Thank You for her.

Sister Wendy sparked my interest in art! I blame her - in a good way. May God be with you, Sister Wendy.
God is the spirit of ALL love, the world and universe is made up of that love, God can give us all un- imaginable happiness, but as soon as we judge someone or show unkindness to someone, I'm sure we disconnect the 'phone line' at our end, Sister Wendy loved God with all her heart you can see and hear it in her voice, she didn't even disaprove of same gender relationships. Too many judgemental people in society, God is nothing but love and we could all do taking a leaf out of Sister Wendy's outlook on life. We have floods disasters etc because we (humans) think we can tamper and mess about with God's beautiful world, instead of rejoycing in it and appreciating it all, this world belongs to God and everything that dwells in it, God has given to us this world and all the lovely things in it for free, his love and his beauty is all around us. Sister Wendy i know you are with God who loved so much and you loved in return ''i have gone to prepare a place for you".
