This Fall music. Ahhh, the soundtrack for my rekindled love of Fall. Prior to your Vlogtobers, I hadn't enjoyed Fall since I was very young. I have to keep thanking you because there's so much to love in this season and I wasted so much time focusing on the cold of Winter and not the coziness of THIS season.
I loved this, Kay, on many levels. This channel -- and Vlogtober in particular -- is both rich and rewarding with glimpses of real life as well as real feelings. You benefit others by example. Love that they chose you for a piece that, it seems, does not need a big voice at all but rather your unique voice and what you bring with it. Congrats. Inspiring.

As you were explaining your reasons why you thought your voice might be different for a certain piece I think of the cover of Sound of Silence done by Disturbed so different from Simon and Garfunkle and how it is the new standard. Different can be better.
You're honest reflections make me feel less alone and are very relatable. I'm rejoicing with you as you gain confidence and climb mountains you used to be intimidated by! I am in a new career and feel imposter syndrome everyday. But I am putting in the work and getting past my anxiety. It's the only way to grow. I hope I get to hear the ensemble piece someday.
I totally get why it made you feel like a substitute, but they had a beautiful opportunity to meet you, hear your unique voice, and find a passionate and dedicated musician to keep in their rotation. You've been working so dang hard, it's showing!

That's why we rehearse. You shouldn't be expected to nail everything perfectly the first time. Never be afraid to give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done.
Kay, I'm so far behind on Vlogtober! Our happy wedding was perfect. If you're ever out toward the Berkshires, the Goldenrod Country Inn is a beautiful spot and the guys that own it are top tier hosts. I just wanted to say hello, ill catch up soon ❤❤❤❤
generic? nah. There's a reason why they sought you out for this. I always thought getting on stage "whatever happens will be dealt with when I'm on there, and whatever else can wait" but I had multiple teachers getting on me for being too in my head during lessons though. I totally get you on having a thinner voice type that is harder to project because my voice is... the same way. And I feel like too a lot of people did laud those who do have the heavier thicker voice types. At least in pop music until a few years ago. I feel like that's starting to change. Either way, your voice is beautiful and I enjoy listening to you sing, and there is a reason why people pick you for different ensembles and stuff like that-- it's because you're good, and you're qualified, AND you're what they're looking for. I hope your car issue isn't something big. I did a cursory google out of curiosity to see what it could possibly be and it's suggesting it could be anything from a malfunctioning thermostat, a faulty coolant temperature sensor, to a clogged heater core, or even low coolant levels. Or even air trapped in the cooling system. It could be a variety of different things, but I hope whatever it is, is the most affordable and least disruptive fix possible and that hopefully they can locate the issue easily.
I was so sorry I missed this video when first aired with you suffering so much anxiety about your planned rehearsal. But was so proud of you in the end with how you worked through your appreciation of what you bring to the table, of your real and genuine talent which is why the company sought you out. Well done with both the performance after working so hard. Your renewed confidence and the fact you enjoyed your time. ❤
