Some good info here but really You are comparing apples with oranges … Ear Trumpet models are $7-800.00 the comparisons you have there are $199.00 and $289.00. In addition, most people would never use An ET Edwina for the same purpose as an SM58b.
SM58's by design have an added boost around 4.5 kHz to make vocal sibilance punch through. Probably cos they were designed when the average PA system was a pair of WEM column speakers which did not have any tweeters! Turns out that was a great design feature even may many years later! and the beta version have broader and higher high end boost.
Try applying and comparing these mics as they were intended by design. Consider an Edwina for this application.
agree Edwina the best choice here. but depends how retro you want to look!
is that the echo from the background or it's just the reverb effect?
can anyone tell me how/where i can buy this company's microphones?! i can't even find any of their microphones on Amazon..

Is it me or did the Beta 58 just win?
No diff on guitar cab but improvement on vocals.

The ear trumpets look great but to me the rode sounded the same.
To be honest, this isn’t a review as much as an advertisement mate. It certainly isn’t impartial, there was nothing critical said whatsoever....
Is it just me or did the 58 sound great and the two new ones sound dull and lifeless?
I think it's just you
Agreed. There’s definitely a good bit of high end roll off on the other two mics

He shouldn’t have had them right on the grille cloth. Gotta keep these mics at least 6 inches off the source like he said but didnt do lol.
Shure must be quaking in their boots.
Not since these mics run About $500 US
@@Darltornjacket Just adds insult to injury at these prices doesn't it. I'm with cyanidejunkie on this one.
