If this is the state of modern bluegrass, I say let’s have lots more of this. I’ve never heard this style of bluegrass before, and it’s a musical evolution that does a great service to the genre. Musical styles evolve, and sometimes that evolution takes a style too far from its roots and essence to become something altogether different that really isn’t on par with what came before. This style of bluegrass hasn’t gone that way at all. This is a beautiful bluegrass style evolution. And these musicians’ feel for the music is impeccable. Bravo!

Every aspect of this is excellent! The blend, the mix of Scotty and Sully's guitars interweaving, tight harmonies, Chad's SOLID basswork, Jan's super accurate fiddling....sheesh! Scott's sheer focus on this one is strong....And AJ, what can I say? Boss lady with the voice of an angel just brings it! Great stuff!
This is what being a band is about. 5 friends who love music and strive to be excellent separate and together on there passion and skills while encouraging eachother and creating beautiful new music that goes far beyond anything your ears have heard. Yeah, AJ has ties to the Tuttle family going way back and that is well documented. I saw Blue Summit almost a year ago in Bellevue, WA and, in between songs, the other guitarist, (apologies to him, I don't know his name) and AJ talked about how they practically grew up together. The only reason I know this is because I heard it from their mouths. He and Sully are both good pickers.
@@jerometaperman7102 Thanks for this insight. I've a problem in that residing here in Essex, UK, very few performers of bluegrass/Americana ever tour here. I try to remedy this on my travels and aim to get to Telluride in '24.

His name is Billy Strings. He often appears with Molly and the two of them together is a lot of fun to watch and listen to.

I had the priviledge to have this band in my house. I heard AJ singing acapella and I will say recordings do not get how good her voice is.
