Thanks for the video. I just bought a couple of these during pro week at Gamestop and had the same concerns about the cards feeling too glossy/flimsy compared to normal cards.
Did you notice anything funky with the feel of the brilliant stars cards aside from the color/lighting hitting them weird? I felt like the Brilliant Stars packs were too easy to open and had the same weird glossy feel as the astral radiance packs
The Lucario promo In the Crown Zenith ETB should be METAL 😎
I opened some celebrations from Walmart the other day and they seemed super weird so I tried ripping one and they had that same elastic holo layer...
Definitely need a metal version of those Charizard cards from the UPC, wish those came with metal versions too with the normal cards

off print expansion logos, light weird feeling cards, and backwards facing qr codes in each pack. there were like 3 packs in my box that actually felt real. everything else had me searching for vids like this. thank you!

I'd like the Alt Art Giratina V in Lost Origin to get a metal variant, it's now one of my favorite cards that I own.
I would love to see Metal cards of the Base Blastoise and the Venusaur. Would be cool to have those to go with the Chairzard and the Pikachu Metal cards.

They gave me the featured arceus's in the game after I told them I wasn't satisfied with a free online pack. One of my metalic cards has bubbles on the back
Shout out to you for using science to examine the potential sus cards for us, super informative. The box design is pretty but all the minor flaws in the collection takes this product off my list, even though GameStop is having another 25% off deal here in the USA.

I’ve actually been looking for fake holo energy’s because I’m making Pokémon grab bags to give to my son for Christmas that include stickers, packs, and singles in top loaders. I bought holofoil resealable bags that are transparent on the front side and use the energies as like decorations to correspond with the type of the most valuable single. Ive had trouble finding fakes but I really don’t want to pay a few bucks for each one lol.

@@shadowsmith1386 I got him every alt art except giratina and evolving skies eeveelution vmaxs, 10 darkrai boxes, 4 brilliant stars etbs, GameStop eeveelutions box, charizard upc, lucaranio & tyranitar v box, 2 celebrations dark Sylveon boxes, $1000 in random nm singles, bcw premium top loaders, dragon shield double sleeves, 30 one touch cases, some custom art cases from Etsy, and that’s just including what he got Christmas. I had to put my foot down on the use of real holo energies for the grab bags so I ended up using non holos. He didn’t care lol.

i definitely think that dragonite needs some more loving and would love to see dragonite v/v star metal cards (particularly like the go v and v star!)

As far as what metal cards deserved to be made, if they’re made to look like current artworks, I’d have to go with the Arceus V promo. I know a lot of people consider sword and shield v promos as alt arts, but since there actually is an alt art Arceus v, I don’t consider the promo an alt art, and it’s by far the best looking non alt art v in all of sword and shield. I would also like to see an armored mewtwo v because the metal would be a great match with his armor.

i opened these new costco 5 pack mini tins and the cards felt really similar to the "fake" astral from arceus upc. they feel super flimsy and bend way easier.

rip a 50 cent to check then if you are suspicious its not hard to rip test. .
I wouldn't be surprised if they're lower quality bc they're reprints and/or meant to be sold at bulk stores like Sam's/Costco. Sam's even had an "exclusive" box at one point.

I think Giratina is a safe bet for a premium collection
The one V/VStar card that deserves to be a metal card is Darkrai in my opinion. Darkrai has always been my favorite mythical Pokémon. I grew up collecting Black & White, Dark Explorers. Best set for black and white in my opinion. Needs that Charizard UPC. ❤

Gengar definitely needs a UPC with 3 metal cards not 2 bc gotta have the Sabrinas Gengar on matte frosted metal/Tag Team Gengar&Mimikyu alt on purple gloss with an oil spill like finish/ Gengar Vmax alt art from fusion on a smooth matte purple back and flat matte purple frosted surrounding the matte with oil spill gloss painted Gengar so he pops off the card. Best Upc ever. Then maybe make an umbreon Upc I guess. Not hatting on Umbreon or anything just not in my top favs, close but not quite. Personally Id love an Upc with the legendary bird trio with the full art in an all silver metalic version and stained glass versions on matte black metalic like how stained glass is usually framed in.
