Fantastic! IO am lucky to have a 2014 with a fill and drain plug, but I will pass this info on!

Why didn't you show the process? I knew if this trough reddit and some forums, would like to see the process in realtime rather than just talking about it.

I try with the REX, impossible to reach this breather vent caps. :(

You can crawl under the car and insert the clear plastic tube onto the breather from below, then feed the tube up into the top of the engine bay. It helps if you have some mechanic's telescoping mirrors so you can see where your hands are trying to get to.

Great demo, thanks! How much fluid came out when you drained the sump with the car sitting on the ramps?

I want to say it was around 500~700ml. I measured what came out and put the same amount back in

@@tylerdamato8514sounds like buying a liter is the way to go. Which red line-version did you put in? Looks like 75W85.

What is the recommended interval for this oil change? We've got a 2017 i3 with 73k miles on the clock so I'm guessing we should probably do this asap?

Generelly for diffs 50 000 km from diff manufacturer, 80 - 120 000 from mechanics and life long from BMW. So both you and I are in or past the intervall (140 000 km for me at the moment).
