      50 something Bond fan my entire life, and I have to say I agree with you completely, Clive Owen was robbed of the chance and because producer Barbara Broccoli had the horns for Daniel Craig she destroyed the persona of Bond that her father, Connery, Lazenby, Moore, Dalton and Brosnan created, Craig has no personally both on screen and off

Roger has always been someone I admired and was fascinated with, so it was demoralizing to miss this, long before the days of affordable VCRs, DVDs, and Internet resources. It's magnificent to be able to watch these clips 40 years on, especially getting to see him at the height of his popularity! I recall reading on imdb that he appeared for multiple episodes of DC.

    Roger Moore was just the epitome of the smooth and suave English Gent, with the most beautiful speaking voice to match. He was also born in October, under the sign of Libra, like me (as was his co-star, Britt Ekland) and I always think of him as the archetype Libran man; charming, polished, classically good looking. eloquent and witty, with a little tongue in cheek-cheeky playfulness. I really like this lighter and very 'British' quality, that he brought to the Bond character, whilst still retaining an effortlessly self-assured, alpha male presence. His films in the series are amongst my favourite.

      It's more amazing how stupid your comment is. They both had more charisma and acting ability in their little fingers than today's meathead action starts. Moore was in his 50's here, and Sean Connery before acting was a body builder and Mr Universe contestant. People didn't take steroids in the 60s / 70s, gyms were not common place, and the shallow narcissism of today was simply not a societal disease as it is today.

      The Bond of the novels was an upper middle class type, from a background very similar to his creator, Ian Fleming.
      Daniel Craig is a very good actor, but is socially and physically the antithesis of Fleming's hero.

      @mikesaunders4775 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@aristostovboulimienne2743 Sean Connery was not Ian Flemings first choice to play James Bond (he considered him too working class), but was won over after watching the first rushes of Dr No. In the novels James Bond was originally conceived as being half- English, and half- Swiss (to explain his expertise as a skier), but Fleming was so taken by Connery's portrayal that he took the trouble to write in a Scottish pedigree for Bond in the book that he wrote immediately following the release of Dr No, which was 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service'. For the record Sean Connery's skin tone has everything to do with 45 years plus, of living in Southern Spain and OO7s old hunting ground, The Caribbean, rather than the exotic ancestry you appear to suggest . Nor am I sure what significance the allusion to Daniel Craig's northern European pedigree has, but I would agree that he looks a lot tougher than any of the Bond actors that followed Sean Connery.

      noo.absolutley not. If he was real then Bond would have to be keeping a cool head and in control when everyone else around is losing there's for which social and mental superiority would be in abundant evidence regardless ...and that's NOT the way Craig played him. But curiously that was the way Flemming imagined him in the book. Craig's Bond is only believable because the audience has the benefit of character traits established by other actors as much Bourne's otherwise inexplicable talents have to be explained by his complete memory loss of his past
