Want to see more of Roger Moore on the Dick Cavett Show? Here he discusses the approaches taken to adapt the iconic James Bond character from Sean Connery's previous performances: th-cam.com/video/aHlirPa9D0I/w-d-xo.html
Although most favor Sean Connery & the later Bond, Daniel Craig, I grew up with Roger Moore as 007 & I don't care critics found his character of Bond comical.
Bond’s character is supposed to be witty I’ve never payed any mind to what critics say The majority of them just like to carry on using big fancy words as though it makes them appear more intelligent, but in actuality it makes them look the opposite & quite arrogant! I too grew up with Sir Roger Moore as Bond & he will always remain my fav James Bond! As well as Craig.
In the U.S. the actual physical letter, the paper and ink, is owned by the recipient. However, the sender of the letter still owns the copyright, unless the letter/an agreement says otherwise. Thus, the recipient can sell it, donate it, destroy it, etc but he would not be able to publish the letter in its entirety without the sender's (in this case, his heirs) consent.
Roger started out as a model. Back in the 1950's & 60's he posed for photos for knitting patterns. My mother used to collect the patterns which were like a 2 or 3 page magazine, with a photo of a model wearing the clothing & inside the instructions how to make it.
Imagine having such a civil break-up that the only thing you object to in your ex-wife's book is that fact that she used your letters without permission.

@@hypolyxa7207 Hmm, pettiness perhaps but self centred is definitely a female trait in my opinion - hair, makeup, shoes, handbags, mirrors, clothes, jewellery, selfies and absolute preoccupation with ones own gender 'problems' with no regard for the other etc. Regardless, unsolicited dictating what makes a real (insert gender) is definitely a female trait and, predictably, always espoused by females with the least desirable qualities themselves.
It is a tricky subject. From an intellectual property point of view, I can fully understand the concept of the writer being the owner of Letters. But others may say that possession is 9/10ths of the law, and the recipient usually owns the Letters physically.
have nothing against the other celebs that were on this show but is this channel ever going to show the Dick Cavett shows where he interviews Jackie Gleason or Art Carney? How about any Honeymooners actors that were part of the main cast? These are rare much like the other Cavett ones.

Thanks very much for uploading these interviews.
I love Roger Moore! What a charming man! 😍😍
He was always my fav Bond growing up, so nostalgic watching his old Bond movies now. Miss seeing him dearly!
RIP Sir Roger Moore. You will be always remembered as a great actor and human.
Roger Moore, what a class act 10/10
People seemed so much more laid back and took their time more back then. Now interviews are so quick and over in a couple minutes...
today, people can only talk with their cell phones
Or about themselves.. Ppl’s vanity since mobile phones is on another level!
I attribute this to the great interviewer.
My favorite bond and a man I share a birthday with. Rip Sir Roger Moore.

Roger Moore was very charming and humorous. I was lucky to have met him.
This clip must be from circa 1981
My favorite Bond!
By all accounts Moore was a very nice chap.
Such a lovely man
Hope he is still keeping the British end up!!!
Must be hard, with lies written about you.
Love Roger

Roger Moore's a class act! Real men aren't petty and self-centered.
I expect he objected on multiple grounds, and this is the one his lawyer told him to go with.
@@LazyIRanch Absolutely agree. Petty and self centred are definitely female qualities.

What’s he thinking
Obviously a bachelor type never should have married!
His ex wife shouldn't be allowed to use his letters wtf
Terrible audio on this one.
Roger is, might I say, and excuse my words, though I can say almost without contradiction, a dullard
#Notmybond
Why tho
🥴
