The clinic and the slaughterhouse are by far the best scare experiences I've ever seen. So unique! It's a shame that you didn't see the clinic though. In my opinion it's even better.
Hi! really nice video again :). Fun fact about Lost gravity. When it just opened it actually used to come to a near complete standstill before the first inversion which made the hang time incredible and the ride even better. However, after a few trains did not make it back into the station they increased the speed unfortunately! If you watch a video of when it just opened you can clearly see this!
Hey Shawn, after seeing your reaction to condor, would actually be pretty interested in seeing your personal ranking of worst SLCs or worst coasters you've ridden!
Was at Walibi Fright Nights last thursday. I can really recommend doing The Clinic, it was my most adrenaline-heavy horror experience I have ever done. On the other hand, Slaughterhouse was also pretty spooky, but I had lots of laughter after I completed it.
Condor had got to be the worst rollercoaster I have ever been on. Far rougher than infusion even with the new trains. My chest felt so crushed by the time i got off. Never again! Your explanation of the slaughter house is so good. This is what makes your channel so great, even when you can't film inside scare attractions or even coasters your explanations are so good! You would never ever get me in the slaughter house 😂
And that's why we prefer Efteling. When Efteling tries to improve an old and shaky but fan-favourite Vekoma, they go all out and retrack the whole thing until it's the smoothest old Vekoma out there. When Walibi tries to improve an old and much maligned Vekoma, they just throw a couple of new restraints on the train, and consider it a job well done. There's just very different levels of care and love in the development teams of these parks. At Efteling, it's a lifelong passion to create the best experience possible on every level. At Walibi, it's just a paycheck at the end of the month, and as long as it doesn't fall apart, there's no need to fix anything.
I rode the Condor when it was new, and still had a much more bulky non cushioned harness. It almost gave me cauliflower ears. And my shorter friend literally had two bumps on her head from being thrown around. It makes you wonder how it even got past safety tests.
Lost Gravity (and also Condor) does not have the great lighting & sound package this year because they save it for their new "Bright Nights" winter opening. I was a bit disappointed too to see it was all pretty dark. Great that you loved the event, I can't wait to see what you think about the Toverland Halloween event 🙂
Yeah I was pretty disappointed as well :( that felt like a huge downgrade. Back in 2021 they also had a short synchronized light show every few minutes. Hope they expand the street entertainment again next year!
Great vlog guys, this event is something special. Making up for a slow season every year. That's why they do let in a lot of people. But in my opinion it's the nr1 Halloween event in themepark world atm. Glad you guys enjoyed it!
1:00:40 This was an old maze which is reused one final time because the new coasters will be build in that place. It was shut for the last few years so they changed it to reopen it for this year. This is probably the reason that it felt a bit cheap since it is just for one year. The previous version was also a lot better but i found it still good fun hahaha. Nice vlog, love to see you having a good time at the halloween event of my homepark! A big recommendation for you next visit is the clinic! I find that experience more scary, but slaughterhouse is more intense with touching.
I knew I saw you there! Fright Nights at Walibi is one of my favourite events of the year. Unfortunate you didn't get to do the night ride on Untamed, it's absolutely amazing.
Slaughterhouse sounded very interesting. Knowing what I'm like I'd have probably laughed all the way round nothing really scares me anymore 😆 glad you had fun though
I had one scare at final slayride when the grinch came out but yeah bit tacky my favorite is still the villa from the haunted houses below from the experience and from the walkthrough wicked woods
Is there a Vekoma hanging coaster that isn't a boneshaker? We were leaving wonderland about to go home, we passed Flight deck with a zero queue time and faced with the choice between a second concussion or just getting to the airport early we chose the airport.
They are putting a new coaster at the building of the last slay ride so this is the last year of that haunted maze. Before it was themed as Haunted Holidays and there was much more theming inside. (Single rail coaster).
I loved the video! I’ve actually visited Walibi Halloween Fright Nights last saturday, I loved it! To my opinion is The Clinic the most extreme of all the experiences, houses etc. Hopefully you will try that one next year!
I love Condor so much, it doesnt hurt anymore these days and when I ride it all the shaking just makes me burst into hysterical laughter 😂 I wish more people had the abilty to find the enjoyment out of Condor that I find.
Shawn and Charlotte, Do you know how you can tell if your in trouble on "Goliath'? When the lights on the beginning ramp have vultures perching on them:) That park and the rides are fun in spite of the gloom. Enjoy! Cheers, Rik Spector
Nice 2 see you've like HFN. For me the best Halloween event. Next time you realy have to check out the Clinic, in my eyes the best experience ever. Keep up the good work!
Hi Shawn, quick one, The Ride Condor (Vakoma) like Fusion, would you say that the ride is rough for the reasoning of the wheels (side ones) are not connecting to rails properly. You can see they are not touching and spaced like Fusion. Its a shame as they are building one like this in Ireland.
New Vekoma is not old Vekoma. Ireland is getting a clone of Halss-uber-Kopf, which is one of the smoothest, if not smoothest coaster I ever had the pleasure of riding.
Great video Shawn and Charlotte from Walibi Holland to get back on all of the major rides and experience Halloween Fright Nights for the first time! In this vlog, we share on ride povs from Lost Gravity, Untamed, Goliath, and many more awesome coasters. We also ride the brand new family coaster including on ride footage! Along with that we enjoy the various different scare zones and mazes on offer for Halloween. Shawn also experiences the scariest Halloween attraction he’s ever done, the slaughterhouse! keep the good videos coming on the channel, Shawn and Charlotte. 😀😀👍👍
I can also highly suggest doing Below and Explhorror aswell next time. Those are not as extreme as the clinic & slaughterhouse but do be really amazing haunted houses
Just like Express platform 13 is the same as aerosmith rock and rollercoaster..(in Walt Disney Paris, themed avengers now) But then outside.(same layout).
So sorry for the rain my friends, you both seem to be making the most of your trip. Always love Halloween in Europe a part from the rain, so fun. We traveled to Utah, just rode Primordial at Utah's Lagoon Shawn. I must say, this Dark Ride needs your eyes my friend. It's next next level, bucket list this one. It's over four minutes of coaster/dark ride perfection. Utah is one you may consider flying in and out to do. I thought you might rent a car and drive up and west to Silverwood Theme Park in Idaho and tour RMC while there but that's a 10.5 hour drive. Silverwood Theme Park is a beautifully cared for family owned and operated park with very close ties to RMC. From Idaho you could fly to Oakland and finally visit Great America and Discovery Kingdom and then drive down to SOCAL for Magic Mountain, Knotts, Disney, and SeaWorld
The lighting at lost gravity is gone to get better flow through that area. It was horrible before to get through because everyone would stand and watch. Kinda sad you didn’t do explhorror, it’s only there this year because of the new coasters and it was incredible!
I went to walibi for the first time 3 week ago. I will never go in Condor again, what a hellish ride. I had the feeling I was going to be paralized getting out of there 😅.
For how much Walibi misses in theming of the rides for the most part they really make up for with Halloween. The Fright Nights are really great quality and have been for decades now. But they let way to many people in the park which makes it less enjoyable for me. I dont mind a bit of a crowd but with Fright Nights it is too busy everywhere. But yeah, the quality and the actors and the theming is absolutely amazing
Just after opening, in 1995 a Dutch tv crew decided to film in El Condor and the 2 hosts had to ride the coaster 9 times in a row to get the shots filmed. They were quite happy to get out!
Ex walibi employee here, from what i have heard and the information i have collected over my time working there condors wheels arent set right which is the reason the ride is so rough
Wow 😱😱😱😱 you looked really overwhelmed after being in that scary house attraction Shawn I need to ask were those animals models made to look realistic? I used to love Halloween 🎃 👻 when I was your age but not so much now especially considering my serious health conditions with these intensive scare attractions blimey 😱😱😱😱 good to see you enjoying yourself, what’s that red huge round patch on your head
Kondor looked horrific 😂. With any original coaster type, there is going to be things to improve on. I heard that the rollover on kondor was profiled completely wrong. It looks the same but the half loops were far too tight. The thought of an SLC is bad enough, let alone being the prototype 😬
Wow 🤩 blimey Shawn and Charlotte you poor souls on a disgusting ride like condour the pov was insane watching this video I couldn’t imagine how painful giving your entire bodies a huge pounding, hope you were ok 👍 managed to recover, aww I dislike rides like that so unbelievably ridiculous uncomfortable to ride bad experience what are these horrendous things in these parks? I know you guys have done velocity which is where i work and i also know you habe been on the coastwr in fforest but with ffear fforest you have clowns maybe next year i can scare you being one if you decide to do it. Also there is a new attraction in Penrhyn quarry called aero explorer too next to velocity
I would be happy to never go on that again, was almost what I said when I came of off Condor. I hadn't been on it for over a decade and it was not the coaster I had been excited for all day (yes, at some point in time it was an enjoyable ride). In another decade Ill come back for Untamed, hoping it will still be as good as I remember it now.
Is there anything more British than this: Pirate: ‘Every bubble contains a child’s Soul’ Shawn: ‘Oh right!’ I can hard relate mate haha.
😂
The clinic and the slaughterhouse are by far the best scare experiences I've ever seen. So unique!
It's a shame that you didn't see the clinic though. In my opinion it's even better.
Love that you put in the older POVs - thank you for that! Makes the viewing experience better for sure.
