Bolvar has failed at literally everything. Got played by a black dragon. Got destroyed at Wrath Gate. Became a Lich King. Sucked as a Lich King. Incompetent as well. Got defeated by Sylvanas and he didn't even land a hit on her (even Saurfang did more damage to her than that). In Shadowlands, in nearly every raid encounter he's in, he either does nothing or gets immediately stomped. Oh, and a bad parent too. Bolvar Faildragon. Most useless character ever given a prominent title.

@@corbin_4738 To be fair in the Sylvanas v Lich King Bolvar fight she wasn't hiding her new OP powers. Whereas in the Sylvanas v Saurfang fight she was because she had a huge audience. It was only after Saurfang landed a hit and gave a cool speech that she got pissed off, snapped and used her new OP powers.
Bolvar has lost all his hair in exchange of quite limited power.

So the official lore is that Professor Arkland was brutally murdered at the troll scalping ceremony then brought back by Bolvar in exchange for giving his death knights an orientation seminar, right?
Seems not. Maybe he did this after escaping the Shadowlands?

In one of the older novels Sylvanas went back after we killed Arthas and seen that there is a new Lich King. So she knew basically from the beginning about Bolvar. And regarding Alliance I really doubt that organization like SI:7 wouldn't check the top of the citadel just to be sure. So I don't see that big of a problem with that. And don't forget that Varian a Genn are still rulers so they should be very well informed, it's not like every common soldier knows that.
How did her arrows pierce Saronite and how did the Horsemeen seemingly just dissappear for one single day thinking "God, we've done nothing since we woke up, let's find something to do" and that's when Sylvanas shows up.
There was a story story. The whole of the Knights of the Ebon Blade were on their way to Icecrown because they felt something was up with Bolvar calling back so many undead. They got there to see what happened to him after they felt the release of the helm from their minds
Sylvans is silly op in that form but it s not shown properly or explained. She wuold have bodied everyone.
In before Talia becomes the Lich Queen for some unknown reason.
I will be so mad if Sylvanas actually a covered up "good guy" and she'll make Talia Lich Queen somehow bc "there will always be a lich king/jailer etc. etc."

Gonna be real... I got their intention with Sylvanas and Bolvar but it still and continues to make him look like a wimp, there would have been nothing wrong with him getting in a few punches if she absolutely needed to break the glass ceiling of the universe.

@@phoivos Who now apparently orchestrated everything all along and Arthas was his puppet (totes not the burning legion it seems). We'll most likely we'll find out that he's actually being played by the Legion as a puppet or some bullshit.
Blizzard doesn't do story arcs, just edge.

Thanks to the Legion Campaign for Death Knights, the player character can actually attack them, turn hostile, and lose rep with them.
I went all the way to hated. I can't do *anything* near Argent controlled places without getting aggro'd. Its great for immersion!

Like seriously, we do know that the Lich King himself isn't all that powerful and it is the combined might of the Scourge that is the biggest threat but there were a fuck ton of undead there with him and it just feels like the win was handed to Sylvanas too easily. That being said the scene where she rips the helm of domination in half is pretty cool, even if its basis is some wobly new lore that was "always there guys, for sure, you just never noticed, god we are so clever *pushed up glasses* " and yeah.
Fucking atrocity that was.
If Blizz really wanted to make Sylvanas disenchant the Helm of Domination, they should've made Sylvanas' win a close one.
But apparently whoever is writing the story feels the need to insert their Sylvanas fanfic in the lore.

Bolvar had his best days in classic. Remember him fighting against Onyxia's Minions. He solo'd eight of them he did alone where some 40 Player Raids had problems with one.

If blizz did something like what they did in Helheim, where she bargains with Helya, it would've been ok.
But no, give her imba powers and then come up with a reason as to why she has them.

@Platinum wow got a tiny piece of lore wrong that would have made for a hilarious edit in the video. You see while we death knights could have gone and murdered every single dragon for the achievement Unholy Determination, it was a hidden achievement and because the quest was 1 time per DK a lot of people missed it so Blizzard retroactively removed it. We player characters are such murder hobos that we would commit genocide for an hidden achievement medal that was going to be taken away regardless of what we did or not. Love your videos! I stopped playing WoW mid-WOTLK but still have fond memories of classic WoW lore. Your videos give me context for things I missed and in a well edited and very entertaining way. Keep it up.

I heard that part of why Bolvar gets his ass kicked is that the jailer controls the power in the crown and wanted him to lose.
Blizzard is just making up whatever nonsense fits their narative of sylvanas being the strongest in whatever situation she gets put into

I never really believed Bolvar was that strong as the LK in the first place, first of all, Frostmourne is gone, as well as the millions of souls within it, which we can assume was a LOT of Arthas' power, the helmet was always more of a "Now you can control massive undead legions and lots of cool shadow powers", making him substantially weaker than Arthas, also there's the idea that Bolvar just didn't have full control of the helmet, considering It seems like Bolvar spent every second wearing the helm FIGHTING its control over him. All Bolvar wanted to be was a Jailor of the Undead (Ironically), so it makes a lot of sense why N'zoth/Jailor juiced Sylvanas beat him.
Is there a perfect channel? - the answer is yes.

The sounds made by someone from Yorkshire and those made by someone from Texas are very different, even though they're theoretically speaking the same language.
I wouldn't criticise a non-native speaker for not knowing where each one was from. I also wouldn't criticise a non-native speaker who thought the Yorkshire/Texan were not talking in the same language.
But I would be very surprised if that non-native thought the Texan and Yorkshire person sounded alike and indistinguishable, though.
My Spanish is embarrassingly basic, but it's not hard to hear there's a difference between someone from Barcelona and someone from Lima.
In the same vein, orcs from various places could sound as dissimilar to each other as someone from Texas and Yorkshire do.

Wimp?! Bolvar was the total opposite of wimp. I started playing during the classic times. One memory that I will never forget was of Bolvar soloing Onyxia's Guards. Put it this way, if you weren't careful and got caught up in one of their cleaves, you're dead. And maybe if you're lucky, you didn't have to restart that quest. Bolvar must have soloed 8 of them.
