In todays Yap Session I explain why I think that the Gojo V Sukuna fight could work quite well as a movie. Thank you for spending some time with me today, it means a ton to me!
@@The_YapologistSeason 3 ends with Sukuna taking over Megumi body and laughing at Yuji. The movie ahould hopefully be the that immediate end of that chapter until the death kf Hojo and Sukuna dominance. A great 2 and a half hour movie.
It could fit into a movie time-wise. The problem is, it has zero real plot(it's pretty much nothing but them throwing hands) and it has no viable end point. It's not like Sukuna gets defeated or gets foiled at the end. The movie would either need to end when Gojo dies or when Kashimo jumps in. And both points are REALLY jarring points to end a movie. Anyone that wasn't a JJK fan would be utterly confused the whole time and anime only fans would leave VERY unsatisfied due to the ending(remember how unhappy people were with the end of the fight when it released?). The movie would only really go over well with manga readers tbqh.
It can not fit into a movie. The fight is 13 chapters, 20min episode of jjk usually adapts 4 chapters, but when there's a lot of action, it adapts even more chapters
@@parussman I imagine IF a movie was made it would cover 222-236. Which is 15 chapters. Presumably the anime season would end at "Nah, I'd win" and the movie would pick up from there(regardless if there's a movie I'm pretty sure that is where next season will end). I do not think it would start at Gojo using 200% Hollow Purple. There has to be SOME build up to the fight so I think the natural start point would be after "Nah, I'd win".
Yeah, the plot is nonexistent since it is mostly the fight itself. I was thinking kashimo jumping in to be a good ending point, but it really is not a good place to end
@@BrandonHeat243 season 3 ends either with nah I'd win or with Meguna flying away with Uraume, depends on how many episodes there will be. Considering that Gojo v Sukuna was a pretty big thing online even outside of manga readers, they would wanna tease it. I believe that entire shinjuku showdown and aftermath would fit in 1 season, so movie not only makes zero sense, it kinda breaks next season on half of the episodes
I think a movie would be sick and guarantee is some top tier animation but there wouldn’t be a good stopping point imo. Also for how new your channel is, you put out such good quality. Love the vids
there's been quite a few unexpected (for me at least) anime releases in theaters the past few years. most importantly for this conversation, several episodes of JJK season 2 in Japanese theaters alongside the release of the volume 4 and 5 blue rays paired with the fact that JJK0 was also a big enough theater hit to profit, it actually seems highly unlikely that they would *not* return to the big screen again and I can't think of a better section of the story to show off that way than the Gojo v Sukuna fight. so I hope you right
I’d prefer we get original content from a movie if we get one I’d love to see more interactions between characters and cool team ups we’d never seen in the manga
It can be a movie adding some training part from sukuna and Gojo, show Gojo paying a visit to Nanami and the director 🪦, some emotional scenes before he start the preparation and the fight, the ending is already emotional with the airport and Gojo waving goodbye...movie or episode, it's going to be the new greatness of anime, the new standards for fight between the strongest in mangas even if they didn't destroy planet in the fight...only Goku vs Frieza or Toguro vs Yusuke i can compare to this fight in terms of greatness, but this fight is above with the ingenuity from both fighters, the plans, the risk, the obvious hidden by the disturbing evidence, the tension,....
The movie would be so cool. More time for animation is very important The only con is that I'll be needing to be trapped with Gojo fans for over an hour Like another comment said, there's no plot though
I agree completely. It is only logical such a long fight gets a movie and or blu-ray. The anime will probably make the fight but a full true version would need its own film/CD
The thing with this fight is that it isn't ONLY Gojo Vs Sukuna, it's all of JJK vs Sukuna. Gojo Vs Sukuna is the intro to the fight with Sukuna. I think if a movie gets animated it'd take away from what happens AFTER Gojo dies (sure theres a shock factor but it doesn't just stop at his death.) Directly after this fight the rest of the squad pulls up either one by one or in groups to slowly chip away at Sukuna's HP, so much planning/teamwork is going into this fight, so I can't just see a Gojo Vs Sukuna movie where it focuses on those two alone. I think a better idea would be to focus on the fight as a WHOLE, including what's being shown in the manga rn. Something like dedicating the first half of the film to Pre and post Gojo's fight then the other half cleaning up Sukuna.
It would be awesome to hype it up like Dbs Broly. To see the strongest in an all out brawl would be epic. It will draw in non anime viewers aswell. Then they could end the movie with Gojo wins. Then a credit scene of a slash with incantations being heard for the binding vow.
I think Culling games will be season 3 and Gojo being un sealed being the cliff hanger then Gojo vs Sukuna as a movie and the end of the fight will be perfect cliff hanger to building up season 4 for Anime only
Much as I would love a Gojo vs Sukuna movie. And as much as I love 236. I just cant see that being a satisfying ending to a potentially 2 hour movie. Maybe if it ended with all the sorcerers getting ready to enter the battlefield? Idk. I will say a movie would be the perfect way to introduce a bunch of downtime that wouldn’t work as well with the manga’s pace. Assuming it starts at or immediately after Gojo’s unsealing. They could sprinkle in more of their training. Better lead into the flashbacks later on.
Season 3 should end with the date of the fight and the movie should start with gojo, ganji, and utahime charging up 200% purple. Because there is such little dialogue in the action scenes after kashimo dies, it should be able to take up enough run time to count as a movie.
I think it should be a movie as well, the fight has been foreshadowed ever since the beginning, literally. And more than just jjk fans want to know the answer, it's more like the whole anime atmosphere. Who can beat Satoru Gojo? Who's truly the strongest? Selfishness vs Selflessness. The best step dad in history vs the worst uncle in history😂 There's so much to unpack in this fight where it has to be in movie format to fully grasp the moment. I feel like an anime scenario wouldn't go that long, i feel like nowadays after like 5 eps people are going to feel burnt out and be over it, call it overrated etc. Imagine if the broly movie was extra eps from dragon ball super, intro and everything, it would feel like they were juicing the fight. I don't want Gojo vs Sukuna to feel that way and if they do decide to do anime instead, they have to do it like Maho vs Sukuna, where it's like a movie but in episode format. But, I just feel like if they get the pacing wrong it can really ruin the hype for it and people can find a reason to call it overrated.
The only thing i see here is a similar case with the mugen train movie with demon slayer and if they make entire movie about this it would at most need to be 2:50 long or more with how long Gege is pulling shit out of his ass for the merger and Megumi
what if they just make gojo v sukuna an hour long special to end the season or something. or to start a season. either ways fine. they even could pull a demon slayer and put the last few episodes of s3 with the hour long special.
Bro no joke I didn't even thought about it but a movie sounds so much better
I think a movie would go so hard, but I could see episodes being great also.
@@The_Yapologist especially since the budget would be higher
A movie lasting 2 hours would be lit. It can start after he gets unsealed so it has some more substance
Facts, would be a good starting point to give the plot a little time

100% agree and Kashimo flying in after the end credits would be PERFECT.
a movie would go crazy

Think about dragon ball super broly. The last half of the movie was all fighting. It could work with some tweaks

Thanks, means a lot! It would be a bad spot, but also kinda hype if it just ended with Kashimo jumping in
Gojo getting offscreened in cinema would be such a let down bro
The meltdown would be legendary!
You’ll end the Movie after “Gojo Wins” just to continue watching months later to see an “off screen”
It would end at 235 lol
Ngl u right it prob gon be a movie but I don’t think it gon come out till 2027
For real it’s gonna be a while
2032 for sure

I fucking hope so shit would be magnificent
Bro that would be so fire, i hope this happens
The movie would be so cool. More time for animation is very important
The only con is that I'll be needing to be trapped with Gojo fans for over an hour
Like another comment said, there's no plot though
Yeah Gojo fans would not stay quiet during this one lmao
😂😂
Ive always thought the same.
"Jujutsu Kaisen Shinjuku showdown" Part 1. Part 2 would be after the fight or something lmao
If fkin Mugen Train was made into a movie this easily could. Maybe not just the fight, a little before too.
I feel like while a movie would go insane I’d almost rather have the entire Sukuna gauntlet into a season or something
At this point you are right the Sukuna gauntlet gonna take a full season 😭😭😭
This would be endgame levels of hype tbh
I agree completely. It is only logical such a long fight gets a movie and or blu-ray. The anime will probably make the fight but a full true version would need its own film/CD
It’ll have to be episodes because it’s the best way for viewers to not know who’s gonna win

Honest it would be peak as a movie.
it is a good idia indeed thx

A movie or a 1/2 hour episode cuz I am NOT waiting week after week to see this playout animated

The name could be lit like something like "Jujutsu Kaisen The Battle of the Strongest"
Season 3 should end with the date of the fight and the movie should start with gojo, ganji, and utahime charging up 200% purple. Because there is such little dialogue in the action scenes after kashimo dies, it should be able to take up enough run time to count as a movie.
Movie ends with “Gojo wins” then the next season starts in the airport lmao
Anime only on suicide watch
Ive been thinking this bro
you see i agree it should be a movie but theres a lot of cliffhangers chapter to chapter which wont hit as hard if its a movie
new jjk movie anyway would be hype asf
nah sukuna entire fight should be either 1 movie or 1 season
but I don’t think it would be in any cinema near me 💀
Pirate time
with no ghosting or dimming

I am ready I'll be the first there.
Hell yeah
the fight cannonacly lasted 30 minutes
Not a good idea. Should be a 8 episode fight.
I’m down for that too
why r u giving mappa cash grab pitches bro dnt make them AOT this pls
Lmao I don’t think this will be Aot season 4
mappa dnt listen to this guy we want seasons not cash grabs
